He is a guy that I had liked in the past. His AHL performance this year, certainly didn't scream... I belong back in the NHL, mediocre results at best. I guess he's depth, and he's cleared waivers and is likely destined to Carolina's farm team.

It’s not even about being conservative, we have no damn assets. Kyle traded every pick last year lol.

I agree.

But, I think the move to be made was last offseason in trading Marner. Trevling thought otherwise.

Now we are stuck in this forward cap heavy situation for the next several years with everyone and their NMC.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for Parayko to be dealt before Friday.. Way too much money to move in/out in the regular season.

Not if Brodie is going the other way. IMO if im
Toronto I find a way to move Liljegren and Brodie in a deal to St. Louis for Parayko and a depth forward.

Robertson, Brodie, Liljegren, prospect for Parayko / Kyrou would be amazing. One could dream

Respect to Colorado.

We always say "You can't trade X because..." (usually in reference to a star player or someone the fan base likes) but Colorado gave zero f***s and traded Byram.

I've always liked Byram and thought he was part of the Avs future, but his play has regressed (granted, he was playing on his off side at times) and their needs at C outweighed the D. Avs did well in this trade for sure

Not sure how Byram will fit in Buffalo given what they already have

That’s hard to do in season.

Parayko will be an off season move.

Just don’t think Parayko is the missing piece for the Cup this season.

This is what makes Sakic great. He doesn't get too attached to guys and his goal is to always make the team better and not get stuck in bad contracts or ruin the team's cap or flexibility to make moves. Guy is always thinking multiple steps ahead.

What a baptism of fire that would've been for Treliving. In the job a few weeks and bam, trade Marner.

I tend to agree. In addition, what is St. Louis' motivation to move him right now when more options may be available at or around the draft?
