Parayko isn't getting a first round pick. Especially if the team is taking his full salary, If salary is retained maybe but I don't see them retaining his salary for 7 years.

You can probably look at the Ekholm trade as a bit of a benchmark. Parayko's contract is longer (ie riskier) and he's been less consistent the last few years, so I would probably look at the Ekholm trade and reduce the trade value somewhat, and that's ballpark what I'd expect for Parayko. Parayko is younger and a RHD though, which arguably raises that value back up a bit.

Ekholm and a 6th went for a 1st, a recent very late 1st prospect (Schaeffer), a capdump (Barrie), and a 4th. Nashville also retained $250K.

My guess is it would take a 1st, there'd be a capdump involved, and then there's a question as to if anything else would be added. Then there's the question of whether that's worth the risk of his 7 year contract, given we've already seen some decline in his game.

Henrique is a solid add for the Oilers, and the type of player the Leafs should try and acquire to help round things out.

He had a no-trade clause and selected Florida as his destination.

Even if he hadn't how could you think Vladimir Tarsenko wouldn't be a valued commodity? Based on what? He's a speedy winger with an excellent shot and he uses a stocky, muscular frame well to make him a physical presence as well.

He would have been outstanding on Matthews wing, but obviously his no-trade clause made that an impossibility, but the idea that he isn't a great addition to the Panthers is a bizarre take.
He was largely bad for the Rangers in the playoffs last season. I expect him to be for Florida, as well.

Reports had Philly extending only one of Seeler/Walker so I'd say the chances of a Walker trade increased.

Edmonton and us have been the most linked teams to Walker

For me, Seeler and Walker are such Daniel Winnik style pump and dumps. Never been all that special in the past, Walker hardly fill the size profile we need to upgrade the back end on and have become such talking points. Would happily not trade for them.

Ekholm also wasn't $6.5M for the next seven years at 30 years old.
