I’m fine with bringing Boosh back for the right price.

People forget he beat out Holl in the playoffs. He's an NHL defenceman, he isn't pure garbage as some will argue. He's limited but serviceable. Great on the wall and a tank out front of our net, can't make passes to save his life though lol.

Schenn started off as a depth move and it worked out better than ever expected. Lyubushkin is what he is.

We'll see what other trades happen and we can lament where the Leafs screwed up though.

I think you'd just add him to a committee that includes Benoit and McCabe. None of these guys are going to be game changing defensemen by themselves. Would prefer something a little better than Boosh ideally though.

Leafs do not need heavy retention on Lyubushkin so this is likely not all they wanna accomplish.

I always find it strange when a team like Carolina helps by retaining salary in these kinds of deals. Shouldn't they be saving that cap space to, you know, improve their own team? Maybe there is a reason Carolina never advances very far.

It's very confusing depending on a few scenarios but it's like the Leafs want Boosh under 1M and double retention accomplishes that.

Ya, realistically the idea with a guy like Lyb is for him to never touch the puck except below the goal line or net-front
