Didn’t they do the same last year? That's crazy. Their free agency starts September 1st ?
I wonder who they are going to upload and for what cost

Again ill take the 26 year old who has improved each year and is now a .9 per game than a prospect who was drafted 3rd overall in a very weak draft and is still just a prospect with no guarantee he will ever be a star in the big showPoint per game player gets thrown around a lot for a player who has eclipsed .9 P/G once at 26.
If you mean the player you want on your team today then sure. That isn’t what I’m arguing. I laid out my argument here:Again ill take the 26 year old who has improved each year and is now a .9 per game than a prospect who was drafted 3rd overall in a very weak draft and is still just a prospect with no guarantee he will ever be a star in the big show
Again - Cooley is "untouchable" to Coyotes fans because a lot of public scouts are saying he has the highest ceiling in the draft and he was literally just drafted.
People put Nylander in trade proposals because this is his peak value and realistically the best time to trade him. He will never hold this level of trade value again. Next off season he will be one year away from signing an 8 year deal that will take him to 36 and he won't carry the same value with only 1 year left on his contract.
I'm not proposing the Leafs trade Nylander for Cooley. I am explaining why Coyotes fans view Cooley as untouchable and half of Leafs fans think moving on from Nylander would be wise.
/threadI’ll take the guy who is a point per game player over the guy who is just a prospect and there is no guarantee he will even make the nhl
I imagine the amount of leaf fans who want to “move on” from William Nylander is not close to half.
It’s still the same old vocal minority that has wanted to trade him his entire career so far lol
Since this is referring to my post I will say that I have wanted him moved since the contract dispute, not his entire career. Right now is his peak value which is why I have posted about it a lot this summer.I imagine the amount of leaf fans who want to “move on” from William Nylander is not close to half.

This is where I stand. I'd trade Tavares before Nylander but I don't think it's an option. I would also love to see Rielly moved before Nylander. That, and some people just want change, perhaps for the sake of change... and some because they've lost patience with the team
There are some pretty high draft picks that were also in there D+3 season on this list that he beat out.
If it’s straight up that’s still absolutely shietSo the rumor is Nylander a 1st and a prospect (and maybe another prospect)
For chychrun?
That's up there with Florida/Tkachuk level bad.
If it's Nylander for chychrun straight up I'll think about it.

Please explain this thought.Nylander for Mangiapane is absolutely awful.
Please explain this thought.
With Mangiapane you get an additional year of term. You save ~1.15M. You get a top 10 defensive forward in the league. You don't lose any goals. Mangiapane's forechecking would be more conducive to Tavares' offensive play as well.
I don't know. Mangiapane has one good season, and overall in his career has 0.51 PPG, while Nylander has 0.78 PPG. Mangiapane had his career year, with 55 points, while Nylander had 80.
I see his other strengths, but I just see this as a bad trade.

Crazy they could watch the Griner situation and thinks its a good idea to go over right now...Non-Russian players still going to Russia?

Cedric Paquette KHL Montreal Canadiens | TSN
After nine seasons in NHL, Cedric Paquette is heading to Russia. The 29-year-old, who spent last season with the Montreal Canadiens, signed with the KHL's Dinamo Minsk on Tuesday.www.tsn.ca
I think going to play in Italy might be better, you can't spend money behind bars.

That is your opinion and it's fair.I don't know. Mangiapane has one good season, and overall in his career has 0.51 PPG, while Nylander has 0.78 PPG. Mangiapane had his career year, with 55 points, while Nylander had 80.

Player | G/60 | A1/60 | P1/60 | P/60 |
Mangiapane | 1.33 | 0.66 | 1.99 | 2.2 |
Nylander | 0.97 | 1 | 1.97 | 2.2 |
I think Lindholm has far more value than Nylander and trading him wouldn't help Calgary compete. They are also in need of RS center. Calgary's C depth is Lindholm, Backlund, Dube. Backlund, Dube, Kerfoot is not strong enough. Their LW depth is Huberdeau, Mangiapane, Coleman, Pelletier. They would probably be interested in subtracting from there to add a RW because their only true RW is Toffoli.Lindholm on the other hand ... except they don't have any extra centers.
Throw in Kerfoot and then take back some Cap.
Most overrated player in the NHL.... Basically asking for 3 1st+
