3 up and one down.

But there is Sandin and Liljegren extentsions to think of too, so.......I think Sandin might be the one traded.

Neither have the offensive totals to get more thena 6-8 year deal at around 4-5M tops

They aren't going to be making Rielly money

Neither have gaudy offensive totals to get more than 5ishM and we can afford that with brodie and muzzin off the books soon

Just saw this on my facebook. from "hockeypatrol.com" whoever that is...

>>
Per Nick Kypreos, Arizona Coyotes star defenseman Jakob Chychrun has been traded to the LA Kings.

The package coming back to Arizona will include star young offensive defenseman prospect Brandt Clarke. Clarke is over 2PPG in the OHL at this time, and is an amazing get.

We will update this story as more details come out.

Chris Johnston says that the ask for Gavrikov has not changed and there is some "sticker shock" on the price. It is a 1st, 3rd and a 4th and Gavrikov, who is a pending UFA, doesn't seem interested in talking extension.

How about getting both Kane and Toews. Fixes our depth issues and gives us 4 lines that are strong defensively. With full retention on both and Kerfoot+Engvall going the other way, I think the cap works. And it wouldn't cost us much more than a 1st.

Florida really ruined it for everyone when they spent that much on players like Chiarot and Giroux.

If we’re targeting a D and can’t get a big fish RHD (Parayko with beefy retention) I’d rather get Gavrikov than Chychrun.

Aside from he’s going to cost way less, he brings a heavy physical element and doesn’t miss 20% of every season.

Chychrun gets more goals and points and has a big shot but remember that bullshit play-in against CBJ? Gavrikov was a huge problem for our guys.

…But I ain’t giving up a 1st or Knies in any deal for him - Chychrun would cost at least one of them.

Seems like there are some rumblings that Kane wants to go to NYR or Toronto. Seeing as NYR just got Tarasenko we might be his preferred destination. If Dubas is smart he plays hardball and we get a good deal. Robertson or Minten or Niemela would be the centerpiece in my eyes. No 1st, no Knies and no Sandin for patty.

This won’t happen but just want see the opinions of Leafsnation.

If the main assets-1st and Kerfoot are the same, and only secondary assets are different, like 2nd round picks, 3rd round picks and B prospects.

Would you guys rather have Toews and Kane or just Timo? Assuming Toews and Kane will cost an extra mid rounder.

I would take Kane and Toews.

Meier, take the surefire elite talent who checks off all the boxes we're looking for while also being in his prime

Kane/Toews have too many question marks surrounding them

To me, Meier will be an all of nothing move bet on the top two lines to score in the playoffs. Where Kane and Toews or just one of them actually allow the Leafs to run with three lines.
Same reason I think ROR is a good fit depending on his injuries.

I'd opt for Meier. He counts for less cap than either of Kane or Toews individually. Toews will also only be capable of so much in the 3C role here. Meier having a season left of RFA status should theoretically provide the Leafs with some form of option (retain or trade) going forward as well.

Really talking myself into Kane if he's pushing for TOR himself. Wouldn't mind making the deal bigger to add McCabe/Blackwell as well. Woudnt bother with Domi/Lafferty. I dont think Domi does much if you're already getting Kane and the PR push behind Lafferty is laughable.

Share a source or please don't mention rumblings.
