EDM makes some sense just because I have a feeling they will just do absolutely anything to get a big name in there. Chychrun is not exactly what they need to improve their defense but I guess he does improve their defense, and if they give up Puljujarvi, Broberg, Holloway, 1st with something coming back with Chychrun to make up for whatever value Puljujarvi has.
 
The only thing interesting about Chychrin is his contract.
They guy can’t stay healthy at all and really doesn’t bring much of the physical element we are missing. He has a decent shot from the point but that isn’t enough to make me have any interest in giving up what it would take to get him.

He still doesn’t bring any of the physical element we are missing on the back end so we would exhaust all our trade capital to get him and still have the same hole in our lineup we do now.
And that is the best case scenario. With his injury history he probably gets hurt soon and we are actually worse off then we are now.

Kypreos and now Garrioch saying Leafs going hard for Chychrun, for what its worth. Now a report saying that it isnt the Oilers or Kings.

They don’t need space if muzz isn’t coming back.
Also, if Kerfoot or engvall etc were part of the trade injured it’s not like it would matter.

Plus that contract is very very good irrespective of chychrun being a 1d or 2d or however people wana classify him.
