Nothing to see here with Voracek, Gary. Oh what's that! Look, the Leafs have semi pro referees for training camp scrimmages, get em Gary!!

Also you can’t pay to fly your prospects to the training facilities that you own with coaches you employ in the off-season so they can improve their game.

Well I’d wait till next season then
If he plays the same as this year then yeah
He would have to consider or trade his ass
He will get above 11.63 pretty much no matter what as someone else will be willing to take a flyer as a UFA even if he doesn't player better

Why is Crouse so overvalued here? Am I missing something? Like I understand the appeal because of his size but he's THAT great. But maybe I'm missing something though?
Ontario boy, signed long-term, big body, physical, can play both wings.

I’d definitely love him on this team, but $4.3 mil is too rich for me for what he brings. If we can get someone to eat $800K a year (4 more years after this, should be costly) I’d do it.

I’d give up Bruins 1st+ for sure.

Maybe a bit, but does he not bring everything we lack into our top 6? And it’s not like he has no pucks skills at all, seems to have found a nice scoring touch the past 2 years. Signed to a nice deal for the next 5 years too I believe

Like I said before, I hope we acquire Lawson Crouse just so people can stop asking for Lawson Crouse

Pacing 40-45 points in Arizona is pretty impressive. Signed at a reasonable hit for a good term.

All fair. I've seen him play a bit and was never really impressed and his underlying numbers aren't that great, just a solid player.

His cap hit is a little high for me but maybe a change of scenery and being on a much better team would help rise his game further. With that said, a lot less minutes and it's possible his offensive opportunities dry up quite a bit. He plays a ton of minutes on a crap team.

Not sure I'd pay the price the Coyotes might want for him, which I assume would be around the Chychrun deal or something.

Imagine being able to add Bertuzzi - basically Bunting but bigger, stronger and faster - and the Leafs saying "nah".
Our Leafs competition are not going to make this easy.

Bertuzzi to Boston is not great news, and 2nd worst landing spot after Tampa Bay,

Last time Boston and TB made moves to toughen up their lineups Dubas responed with upgrades to the Leafs roster.

Be interesting to see how this move might impact Leafs next response if there is one.,

My First Want:
Be nice to have a true #1 defenseman, but that's not gonna happen.

My Second Want:
A scoring player on the 3rd. line. Something to give opposition teams something to be worried about.

The first 2 lines only glaring stretch by a player is Bunting. I really think they could replace him with many players who hustle and have decent hands, without missing a beat.

Moving Bunting to the 3rd. line doesn't make the third line a scoring line.

Crouse for example, I'd put on the 3rd. line if acquired, even though he's higher in the line-up in Arizona.

Ideally, the difference between Kerfoot+Holl ~ NewGuy+Timmins+Liljegren as far as Cap next season goes.

Is that a thing? Players can be waived without it being public knowledge?

Rarely, but it does happen.

Same with pick conditions. Nobody knows the pick conditions for the 2025 Leafs pick from CHI. Very possible they never come out. Even CapFriendly was the only one who posted the 2024 conditions.

Teams don't always release that info and insiders are far from perfect... even though one of them can usually figure it out. Guess nobody fed them the NHL sheet on that one.

But I can also not release how I know so... disregard
