They may not technically have to, but I'd be very surprised if they keep 9 active D men. 8 seems a more reasonable number. Especially if the team does intend on potentially making an additional trade
You shouldn’t really look at it as 9 Dmen. It’s 8 + Timmins. Timmins is only here cause we can’t waive him and even if guys get hurt Benn and Mete probably play above him in the playoffs

WTF Chychrun essentially went for 1st + 2nd + 2nd

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL f***

We couldn't match this shit? Or did the yotes lower their ask after demand went down?

Atlantic division is a pain in the ass
They lowered the ask because Ottawa was willing to pick up 100% of the contract, whereas other teams wanted Arizona to retain. Not having to pay extra cash is apparently more important than a better return.

Another physical bottom-6'er for Tampa for our scheduled war.
Tampa always goes for gritty players. Its actually amusing.

Brisebois has so much confidence in his top players to produce offense when it matters, that he legit just wants to make a goon squad for the rest of his team

I really think they should just abolish the current draft lottery and just over turn this whole system with helping teams that cant even sustain themselves. I am really sick and tired of paying for Leafs products to support Arizona(even though, I doubt Leafs products will drop in price if MLSE don't need to share revenue).
Why should fans like us or Rangers fans or any teams that making money paid for Arizona and others to have a chance of drafting someone like Bedard. I understand it is like paying taxes, but if our taxes are going to the homeless in order for them to help them get a Lambo(right to draft No. 1 overall pick like Bedard), thats too much.

What the league should do is to have an expansion draft of some sort after every season for the bottom 5 teams to pick 2 players from the top 10 teams, and each top 10 teams can lose ONE player max. Also, no prospects and players in the system are allow to be in the draft. Ofcourse these top 10 teams can protect players too.

For the draft, all non playoffs teams should have the same odd, teams that made the playoffs will have slightly worse odds and teams that made the final 4 will have slightly worse odds than playoffs teams

Who's Tampa getting at 2.5 who's any good or making another team eat salary to get them at a lower cost? And with what prospects or picks.

Better not be Bertuzzi. But hell whoever it is, you can count on that dude being physical

I don’t know what the expanded roster limit is but it does expand. And yes obviously you have to stay under the cap. Until the playoffs at least lol
Ha ha yeah that was a given I just meant is there a roster limit like 25 players.

Eyssimont is a corsi darling of the last year or so. Good forechecker and pretty solid at driving play. And dirt cheap. And a RFA.

They retained 1.25M on Namestnikov, so they don't have that much room.

They are likely going to get a defenseman with the remaining cap they have.
