We get rid of Engvall, Anderson, and Kerfoot in this scenario and we still don't have enough room to bring up McMann, Holmberg, Knies. Getting real tired of Dumbass leaving us with so much depth I can't watch our overcooked prospects get a run with O'Rielly for fun.

I agree having the issue of too much depth and roster competition is a great problem to have.

Korpisalo has been up and down his entire career. Who knows if he will actually be decent or not, and running with him and Copley seems risky.

I think a lot depends on the term.

In my mind, the Leafs are now at a point where they could sign him to an 8-year deal to lower the AAV and truly go for it while Matthews and Marner are in their primes. And be totally comfortable with the fact that the contract will age badly.

I'm worried about bringing in too many new players and what that means for chemistry, but I still think the Leafs would benefit from an upgrade on the 3rd line.

He was promising as a rookie. Had 3 mediocre-at-best seasons, then had another good year, followed by 2 really bad ones, and is now pretty good again, but still one of the weakest starters on a contender.

We've added McCabe, who will be our 2LHD moving forward, improving on Sandin.

It's obvious that the Coyotes are asking for a gross-overpay still. All the most rumored to be interested Teams (Boston, Edmonton, LA) have all turned their backs on a trade for him, and made different deals instead for other players.

Why is Dubas overpaying now, particularly when he's been very prudent thus far in his trades the past 2 weeks? Those teams wanted/needed him way more than we do now.

Makes no sense to me and frankly is ridiculous at this point.
