Sounds like Coyotes fans with Chychrun.
Or Sharks fans with Meier

I just don't think he's cheap enough going into next year to fit with so many people to re-sign and juggle. I also don't think Holl + Kerfoot fits enough of a cap dump because they'd be taking on ~300k more.
He's obviously really good though so it's not a bad idea. I like him.
There’s always a way around money/cap. People for years have been saying “ how will the Leafs stay competitive when you’re paying Tavares 11 million a year” look at the team Dubas has put together up against the cap every year. It’s super deep, easily the deepest team in 20 years. We'd need a first pairing replacement for Brodie which wouldn't be cheap. Lil's bridge also ends and he'll want to get paid. We'd have lost Gio's bargain contract. Plus we'd need to spend on goaltending. It's going to be super, super tight.
Things open up afterwards though once JT's deal is off the books and he's back on a Spezza special.
I was literally just posting the information fellas. Christ.
No, not you.
The Arizona Franchise.
I think a guy like Jenner or even Laughton would be a very nice add but we could also go down the route of retention like we did for mccabe. Like Garland at half retained is like 2.4. Not sure if Vancouver would do that but Kerfoot + 1st for that would probably be a strong option. Not that I want to give up a 1st for Garland but at that price point its pure value.
That’s my dream right there. That and a Murray replacement and deadline done! Now get Wilson, and we are all set for battle with Tampa lmao.
Forgot he’s still around. If he’s anything like what he was in the past I’m definitely interested. What about David Perron?
Good thing Knies is a transition fiend as well. Him + A guy like Terry would go a long wayI think trading Engvall created a bigger hole today than there was on the team yesterday. We're lacking any semblance of transition play and chance creation in our bottom-6 besides Kerfoot & to a lesser extent Jarny.
Ideal/realistic lines for me right now:
Bunting-Matthews-Nylander
ROR-Tavares-Marner
Kerfoot-Kampf-Jarnkrok
Holmberg-Accari-Lafferty
ZAR
Rielly-Gus/Holl
McCabe-Brodie
Giordano-Liljegren
Schenn
Give me a 3C or 2W to push Kampf down the lineup.
Yeah Im with you, I dont see why people are so enamored with garland either. It's pretty crazy to see a lot of Garland love here when people can't stand Kerfoot. Garland has shown better scoring (except for this year) but I'm not sure I buy that the Leafs would want Garland even at 50% since they already have a few players like him already.

Super underrated. He'd be a very sneaky good add if Detroit sells off. What about David Perron?
Winning a Conn Smythe kinda makes you feel like you have some value…O'Reilly seems like a greedy, "get all my money dude," but for some reason I can see him taking a hometown discount (a la Giordano) with us depending on how the rest of the year goes.

Is there actual smoke with Wilson? Paul Bissonette tweeted out something with Wilson and the Leafs. And Wilson was trending on twitter for a bit. He’d be a dream pick up and a perfect icing on the cake piece for this roster.
Could you imagine, Tom Wilson, Acciari, Sam Lafferty, McCabe, ROR, Schenn. smashing TB snd Boston in the playoffs. Ahhh I wish…
I agree I would rather have size. But a guy at the high skill playing in our top 6 is a surefire 60 point player locked into 2.4 for 4 more seasons. I would gladly take a guy with size if we could get a cheap deal or a team to retain. It's pretty crazy to see a lot of Garland love here when people can't stand Kerfoot. Seems just not very good even at 2.5M for what they are trying to do and just gives another hard working small forward.
That sucks. I’m just wondering what’s next lol because we all know there’s literally 0% chance Dubas keeps that 1st rounder. He’s gone this far might as well dig deeper lolNah. Just mostly fan fare with the Caps selling off some UFA's but they are retooling for next season.
