Yeah he can be so much more valuable and richer if he can develop some snarl and grit.
If Engvall had any sort of mean streak to his game, he would be getting the package Jeannot just got.

I don't understand how his agent or his family members doesn't tell him to add that to his game. He's literally missing out on millions and millions of dollars by not doing so.

Its crazy to think about. Dude has all the tools to be a modern-day power forward

That’s not a switch that can just be turned on, physicality needs to be developed.

There aren’t many big mean physical swedes so my guess is their development system doesn’t emphasize physicality.

I flip flop on Engvall or Kerfoot because they are so up and down in value to me but I think Kerfoots motor and recent playoff performances is a better bet than Engvall. But Engvall can really get hot and his shot can be deadly. His huge reach and stick checking is really underrated to go along with a strong skater.

They both have pro's and con's.

Engvall is a better athlete and way more upside for those moments when he puts it all together, but Kerfoot is always consistently bringing that vanilla.

For real. The guy is 6'5, 220 and built like Spartacus. He saw first hand how Gauthier threw away a promising career by refusing to engage physically, yet he still plays like a p***y. What a waste of a physical gift.

Anyway, I'm surprised that so many people are thirsty for more forwards. We're now bursting at the seams with them. And next season we need room for Knies, Robertson, Pontus, etc.

I mean you're probably right because I dont see any other explanation.

One of my friends told me, he thinks Engvall genuinely thinks he's a very handsome guy and he doesn't want to play physical because that would mean he has to fight and he wants to protect his face at all times. Like he doesn't want any cuts or bruises on his face lmfaooooooo

To put it into perspective, Rasmus Sandin is 2nd in the league in hits amongst Swedes

All Dubas needs to do now is ship out Kerfoot and get Tavares a 2LW and we're set.
Seriously I think Dubas should just sign Knies and put him with Tavares and Marner and then have Mitch feed him pucks. The guy seems to have good IQ and good finish and Marner can rack up the assists feeding Knies.

Also move out Kerfoot and Engvall. They're alright players, but too many games they look invisible in between the few that they stand out. Recoup some picks with them if there's any takers.

If he's really worried about his face, Engvall should just wear a full face shield and then go out and play like a mad man. I always hope he could take it to the next level and I only see it once every dozen games or something.

Really is too bad Engvall doesn’t really seem to grasp how special and nasty he could be as a player with his size and skating ability. Just kind does everything in 2nd gear and he’s content with it. If he just had more motivation and dig deeper within himself he could easily become a borderline top 6 guy. But he’s just ok being a bottom 6 guy

Technically Dubas doesn’t need to make another move although they are above the cap. They’d just have to play with 1 less guy on the roster. In a perfect world I’d like to see Kerfoot out and bring in a guy like Schenn

I think Dubas needs to contact Puma Swede and ask her to convince Engvall to be meaner and tougher.

I could see it being Kerfoot for Spencer Martin. Curtis Sanford spent a lot of time on his game and is very familiar with the player.
I was throwing Martin's name out thurr miself milord. Lets see who they finna pick up. Martin could be okkeeee with a better defensive structure team.

Kerfoot would block a shot with his face, Engvall wouldn't. I think we sleep on Kerfoots work ethic despite his flaws. Engvalls upside is that he's tall and a strong skater with a really sneaky great shot. Both have their pro's and con's.

Would be interesting to see which forward is coming out of the lineup on Wed.

Engvall and Kerfoot are the favourites, while Calle is the dark horse.

Can Kämpf plays wing? I think that’s the question
I think you've badly misread the situation if you think one of Engvall, Kerfoot, or Jarnkrok won't be playing. One might need to be traded for cap reasons, but it doesn't mean they won't be playing.

ZAR is obviously coming out of the lineup.
