I don't understand people that are against getting a guy like ROR.

"Well he's got a broken foot." who cares? It's a broken foot It's nothing, it would be one thing if it were a hip injury like Monahan has had, or bad shoulders like Monahan has had that would be different.

But It's a broken foot it will be long healed by the time the playoffs start.

Even if he WAS, out the rest of the season and he's not, again who cares?

He's strictly a playoff add as long as he's healthy for game 1 that's all that counts.

You add ROR and you have a 1-4 center position that NOBODY can touch.

Matthews
Tavares
ROR
Kampf

That's it, it does not get better than that, there are teams like Pittsburgh, Tampa, Washington Boston etc. that can go 2 deep, but they can't go 3 deep, not like that and they certainly can't go for.

Imagine ROR being able to be matched up against Point or Bergeron and then allowing Matthews and Tavares to be matched up against lesser competition.

ROR would allow that.
Part of it, is he isn’t as sexy as a Meier, or Chychrun… bigger name players and it seems many gravitate to that.

Some people feel he’s a strict rental and might prefer someone with term. So you believe he’s sign for $5 mil or less?

I mean RoR, Henrique… either would give us a great C lineup.

I'm all for Meier too, and Henrique, I'm for anything that makes this team better.

In fact truth be known I flip back and forth between ROR and Timo Meier as to who I want more, I completely understand if somebody wants Meier more because that is a game breaker no question about it, if he got traded to Toronto tomorrow I wouldn't complain.

I can't lie the thought of Meier Matthews Marner is an exciting one and again, if it happens no complaints here.

But for me it always comes back to that potential 3 headed monster.

Matthews
Tavares
ROR

That's to tempting

I think a lot of people giving too much value to a 1st pick...

Its not the only to find good player at low price

Bunting, kampf, timmins, mikheyev, holl, samsonov, giordano

Exactly, its not impossible to see oreilly finishing his carreer in Toronto if a deal happening... ROR to replace kerfoot still a win

An other thing with ror, leafs can easily give a 6th tona 3rd team and get ror at a cap hit of 1.875M because hes real salary is only 1M... so still able to make an other move

You don't think that inflates Chychrun's offense while suppressing Sandin's offense? Obviously the guy who runs his team's offense will get more points, but he wouldn't do that with the Leafs

We’re talking about Sandin here. They’ve been force feeding him offensive opportunities all year. They’ve tried to use him like that but he can’t do it.

Chychrun would do that here….. or at least he should.

Sandin has been great whenever he's played with the Leafs top forwards, which shouldn't be a shock. He's a great passer and high IQ players typically do well with other players who can read the game at a high level. But while Sandin's game is about giving those players more quality looks, Chychrun is about taking the looks himself

So many of you are going to be so disappointed.

I seriously can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading.

Sounds like you're describing a guy who should have more than 7 assists at even strength....

I'd be curious at just how cheap RoR Will come. 2nd + B/C prospect cheap? Injury + a current 35 point pace + plenty of other options can't exactly be helping his value right now (no matter what Blues fans think)

He should. He's not the first player whose true value isn't properly reflected by his point total. Being on the ice for 29 actual goals and 40 xGF definitely shows a bit of bad luck

Schenn gets a lot of credit for 2 cups but he played a total of 193 minutes during Tampa's 2 cup runs, or 10:11 per game in 19 of 48 games. If he was a 7 for a cup winning team 2 years ago he's not a regular now.
