I’m convinced now more than ever that Korpisalo would be a great add.
To start for the Marlies? I'd rather have Woll play games there.

Holy f*** that trade looks awful for the Rangers. Did they just want him to go somewhere irrelevant or did they really not get a second offer
Here's hoping Kravtsov plays with Petey and shows the Rags that they're a joke once again.

Don't remember commenting any of those names.Oh yes, but the 3 goals in 50 playoff games for Barbashev and 3 in 24 for Domi is so much better... And that is with PP time.
Or that Kerfoot had 11 points in that time frame and brings a lot more to the table than just offense. Engvall has only had 4 points, mostly in a 4th line shutdown role until last year.
JvR is the only one with any kind of legit playoff track record and he hasn't had a good playoff performance (or really a playoff performance in general) since he was in the middle of his prime.
It is maybe not irreplaceable, but it definitely seems a lot harder to replace (never mind upgrade) than anyone is willing to give them credit.
But let me guess, a guy like Jeannot is what you think is better? Him and his 0 goals in 9 playoff games with 2 measly points and a -5 despite playing in their top 6 last playoffs? Or is it Zach Hyman, who had 5 goals and 13 points in 32 games (with a -4) riding shotgun with our core players the entire time?
I mean best case scenario for him is Tyler Motte and it's not out of the realm of possibility he's going to play less than 20 more NHL games.Probably couldn't even get a team to bite on giving up a 3rd for him, so they settled for a depth addition with a little bit of upside and waiver exemption?
Lockwood is similar to a younger Tyler Motte in a lot of regards. Solid defensively. Fast. Gritty. He is not terrible (despite what he showed in VAN), but Kravtsov, predictably, did not have the kind of value that Rangers fans thought he had.

I think they could be one of the better suitors for Chychrun. The timing might not be the best though if the intention is to get this trade done prior to Friday and both 1sts have to be involved.Wonder if WSH does go after Chychrun and they are not actually selling. They now have 2 1st round picks this year to entice Arizona. The pool is shallow but maybe a Hendrix Lapierre still has enough shine on him?
Would actually be a pretty ingenious move. Orlov is a pending UFA who is getting old, but Chychrun may be able to replace him and is much younger/cost controlled.
Hathaway to Smith is not going to kill their chances.

Measly production and 3.5m for a mistake prone guy that will find himself misplaced on the 4th line again is not what I call hard to replace. You're trying to counter balance the slack he gets on this sub by overrating what he brings.

I bet we see similar with Gavrikov. It's crazy that they were asking for like a 1st or 2nd round pick for Kravtsov not long ago and then settled for.... Lockwood????
He'll fetch 1st or least 2nd with a low end prospectI bet we see similar with Gavrikov.
I'd say it's already there with a number that high. Then what names can replace him? These are the names that I am seeing on here, that are rentals. I guess I could include guys like Lawson Crouse in there too, with his 2 goals in 9 games. Or are we talking Marlies, because Holmberg is probably the closest and he is not good enough to replace Kerfoot.
11 points in 19 games is hardly "measly production" and calling him "mistake prone" is also extremely hyperbolic. I also like how his cap hit needs or that he is on the 4th line needs to be brought up every time as a way to try and discredit him, yet the market suggests that 3.5 mill is on the low end for a guy like him and he is on the 4th line because we happen to have a very deep lineup... And here I was thinking that having 10 guys who are good enough to play in your top 9 was a good thing.
I don't think it will take very long to put together... Otherwise ARI made a very odd choice to force Chychrun to sit out 6 (or is now 7) games and counting for trade-related reasons.
Have always liked Nino. Though he's always been pretty quite in the playoffs
