I like what we got in Acciari, a player I've wanted for a long time, and ROR, who brings so many elements that we've never had. Great additions to our team, and I am hoping we find a way to re-sign them both.
As for Boston, I admire how they do things (the exception being the incredibly inept Mitchell Miller incident, that I still can't believe actually happened). They have been the runaway best team in hockey all season, and they still went out and got better and harder to play against, as if they weren't already.
What I like just as much is the Bruins management literally gave the Coyotes and Columbus the finger. Specifically saying, this is what we are prepared offer, keep trying to gouge us and dick us around, and we walk, and they did, with their middle fingers up in the air.
Bruins management served notice to the entire league that they don't mess around and don't push beyond what the Bruins are willing to pay or you can end up with nothing. The GM for Columbus looks like a complete dope right now.
This is the reputation in the league that I would love the Leafs to have. This is our deal, don't pu$$y-foot around, take or leave it, and stop trying to gouge and raise the asking price. This is what we will pay. Don't like it, keep him, we have other business to do....
The Eastern Conference Playoffs are going to be an absolute Battle Royal, right up to the Stanley Cup. The only thing I think the teams in the West are hoping is that whoever survives the East is completely spent and are compromised after slogging their way through the East.
While I can understand the logic, man, I just can't see that happening. The East is just nuts.....
