Why would Nashville want a UFA when they probably miss the playoffs unless you add a top prospect.

Could flip him, re-sign him as a stopgap before Askarov.

Freddy + 2021 1st Rounder

For

Granlund + Saros.

Wonder if we could somehow work Freddy/Saros into a TOR/NSH deal.

Saros is not an upgrade either.

We could do Kuemper, but he is hurt and not amazing, but should be reasonably price.

We could do Ullmark but he is not really a slam dunk or anything.

Really, there are not really any great trade options unfortunately.

It’s more about opening up cap to acquire another player, either from NSH, or someone else.

If that game doesn't seal it for Dubas, nothing will. We dominated yet lost because our goalie isn't even average anymore. Lets just say we win that game with even Hutch starting

Andersen + Dermott for Merzilkins + Harrington

Harrington can somewhat challenge Lehtonen for the 6th spot. 240k cap savings.

I’d go after Merzilkins, expansion draft exempt as well. Also makes sense for a more financial strapped organization to get rid of there backup who’s making 4 million next season while still being very competitive this year with a tandem of Korpisalo and Andersen.

Weren't we really interested in Lehner? Maybe Vegas makes him available since he's about to comeback from an injury and Fleury has been really good. Idk how we'd do it because obviously Vegas doesn't want or need Andersen but just a thought if we are actually looking to make a move for a goalie.

Dubas was all in on Lehner. I would do it without thinking twice

Vegas isn’t moving Lehner, he’s their long term goaltending solution.

Actually, I disagree. Lehner seems to be having a very very hard time in Vegas, I think that situations pretty rough for him. I have a feeling he may ask to be moved out in the offseason for his own sake. Between the whole twitter situation, COVID, being in Vegas, and competing against the best guy in the NHL, it's not his best position.

Elvis would be good but is pricey and not all that proven.

I really cannot see us moving our starter in season, but tbh if you did move Andersen (and don't kill men for this) you could go get Bernier from Detroit. The guys been unreal there.

Again why would a non playoff team be interested in a UFA. Need a 3rd team IMO.
I agree, this is an Andersen --> Edmonton (or x), Bernier/Ullmark/Saros/Merzlikins/Lehner/Kuemper --> Toronto, picks/prospects --> team x situation IF Dubas were to do it
