I'm sure he would be, he's terrible.I believe we should take a chance on Brian Lee(once he is healthy). He could hopefully be gotten on the cheap.

The fixation on left handed and right handed defensemen on this board is far far greater than it is in professional hockey circles.
Of course, I could say that about a lot of things I read here.

Nah, not in this case. I think its almost the opposite.
If its so easy to play RD, why don't we move McD there or Staal?

Hypothetically, which teams could you see being interested in Girardi? ANA, COL, SJ, PHX (if we take some cap back), perhaps MIN but I'm not seeing any pieces available I'd be interested in. DET, TOR, BOS. Could TB or OTT be stupid enough to make a push for him?
Edit: after thinking a bit about it, can't see OTT doing anything, because they just gave up Silvferberg + 1st.
Looks like MDZ was going to the Leafs according to Dagoon.
Ricky otazu @Dagoon44 16m
@Dimz3 offer was from leads for a dman and b prospect fell thru

Ryan Reaves is off the market. signed to 4 year extension http://blues.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=700088&navid=DL|STL|home
Not that surprising. He has a ton of value to stl.
Would love to see the rangers find a guy like that in the draft.
Rangers only trade for or sign these type of players. they cant develop that for some reason..![]()
Guess it's difficult to find a guy with size who can skate and hit. And occasionally fight.
The odd thing is the blues have more than one type of player. Cody beach is similar as is Veilleux
Yes. Brother, far better fighter not much of a player either.isnt Cody Beach related to Kyle Beach??
Mashinter is easily as good as Veilluex and Cody Beach yet was overwhelmingly hated by the loudest voices on this board. 4th line scrappers that can play a little can be found anywhere. AV doesn't seem to have any interest in dressing that type.Guess it's difficult to find a guy with size who can skate and hit. And occasionally fight.

Come on, Carcillo? Undersized agitator. Disagree on Veilluex and Beach over Mash.No he wasent. Mash was really not very physical for his size. And he didn't even fight often.
Vellieux I would take over mash 10/10 times.
As for AV not wanting a 4th line scraper, what is Carcillo?
