Mashinter is easily as good as Veilluex and Cody Beach yet was overwhelmingly hated by the loudest voices on this board. 4th line scrappers that can play a little can be found anywhere. AV doesn't seem to have any interest in dressing that type.

i dunno about that, AV did coach Tanner Glass, Darcy Hordichuk and Max Lapierre at one point

Again, where's the heavyweight? Glass is a good fighter but no heavyweight, Hordichuk was undersized for the role and Lapierre is a disgrace. You posted about Ryan Reaves, none of these guys can match up with Reaves.

Depends. If they keep this up they are or they could buy and sell. Trade Boyle and Moore for picks then deal picks for guys that can help next yr too. Non ufas

Don't buy or sell, make hockey trades. Trades that make you better. Preferably similar age and cap hit.

so everyones favorite trade target byfuglien is back to playing forward?

Winnipeg Jets coach Claude Noel is dealing with injuries and a slumping squad, so this is his way to switch things up. Byfuglien will be on the top line with Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little for Saturday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

from Lebrun on espn.

So, Mikhail Grigorenko wont return to the Remparts after being sent down.

Should NYR pencil in an offer?

Im calling it. Hat trick big byf.

grigorenko cant play in the NHL/AHL/KHL/Other Euro Leagues this season. if buffalo has probs with him then every team has the same problem.

I wouldn't mind Grigorenko that's for sure. Al though where would he play as a Rangers property, the rules are the same after a trade right?

IMO Sather prefers to wait until the trading deadline before making moves so.... I expect only preliminary talks until then.

If the team looks like they could make the playoffs I can only see MDZ being moved (unless one of the top 4 D goes down). Any other deal would prove to be cosmetic. I can't imagine anyone offering a player that is worth breaking up a roster to acquire.

If the team begins to slide once again then all bets are off.

I'd love Grigorenko. He has a ton of skill but if he won't play in the Q and isn't ready for the NHL, would a team risk him playing in the KHL?

He can't even go to the KHL. It's basically play in the Q, or sit out the year. The only other option is for Quebec to trade him to another team that has a slot available for an import player, or for them to terminate his deal and then Buffalo could perhaps loan him out to another league.

Very strange situation. Did Grigs lie to Buffalo when they asked him if he was okay with it? Did they even ask him? Why risk sending a prospect down and winding up in this situation?

Even if we traded for him, we're basically in the exact same situation Buffalo is in.

If he's pissed at Buffalo, he might welcome a trade to another team. If the Rangers brass went to him and told him he'll have every opportunity in the world to make the roster next season, he could comply and be happy.

if grigorenko wont report to quebec, hes got no value. if he does report to quebec than buffalo isnt moving him. there isnt a grigorenko trade to be made.

So you don't know what you're talking about

Murray has no connection to Grigs, no emotion. He'll move him if he sees necessary. grigs can't go to Russia. And he'll only hurt his career if he refuses to play.

he cant play in the NHL/AHL/Europe. how does he have value in a trade? if he reports to quebec than why would buffalo move him? if he refuses to go to quebec than why would anyone trade for him if hes intent on sitting out the rest of thsi year??

Why do any trades happen? Grigs isn't developing as projected. He isn't a sacred cow. I would give Buffalo our 2014 1st for Grigs and a 3rd.
