Funny how teams like Pittsburgh has Cooke and Glass and Ottawa has Neil and they are doing well. And yet people here want no part of Torres. Montreal add Prust and Armstrong and they take off doing well. Boston has Lucic and Marchand.

The Rangers are too soft and easy to play against. Sad really that people don't realize that.

this is why Haley should be called back up until a trade is made.. Maybe Sather really likes soft hockey :sarcasm::help:

Does anyone think Hamrlik may hold some value at this point? Not a lot of time left in the season. He has proven to be a good bottom-pairing vet with playoff experience and a god shot. Think the Rangers could move him for a pick?

Maybe. But, for whatever reason we have never showcased his shot on the PP. I'm not sure if that is much of a selling point as of late.

He is basically a depth Dman at this point for a bit of a cap hit.

A conditional 7th? Sure.

Condition: Hamilrik doesn't die of exhaustion before the end of the season.

I see it, and it's painfully obvious that this team needs role players. The first time Avery came here when we were struggling with Jagr, and he sparked our top players and we were a cagey bunch. We have a lot more front end talent now, yet we're in the same situation... why?

I haven't the slightest clue of McBains value so ill leave that to you guys but on the main board some are speculating McBain would be a good fit for the rangers.

Also saw he and McD used to play together.

Some are saying Car wants a defensive Dman back.
Would it make sense to trade Girardi?

I don't know if I want to trade G but I saw a conversation about it the other day.

Something around Girardi for McBain, again I have no idea how the value is so one team could add

No, because we picked him up off waivers. Can't trade him.

Well, if we want to stay in a playoff spot we should grab some cheap rentals. At least aim for 6th in the East. Pens and Habs have 1 and 2 locked up, we've really struggled against them. Carolina/Winnipeg/Caps, not so much. We might actually make it out of the 1st round if we place 6th or higher.

If Girardi gets moved, I'd want a #1 back.

McDonagh never played with McBain from what I remember. McDonagh and Goloubef were paired most of the time.

Trading Girardi makes no sense unless they're adding a very significant piece to the deal. Even then, unless that significant piece is a roster player, we're downgrading too much in the short term to make it worth while.

Clowe has 11 points in 28 games. 11.

JT Miller has 4 in 25

Boyle has 2 in 30

Pyatt has 6 in 34

Asham has 2 in 15

Powe has 0 in 20

Kreider has 3 in 16

17 points in a total of 140 games.....

If they want to win at all, that is not going to cut it.

None of those players cost us a 1st, 2nd, and a prospect (or whatever it is) to acquire. Replace Pyatt with Clowe and we have 22 points in 140 games between them all. It's not a big enough upgrade to justify the asking price.

Still, it's not the real issue. Richards with 3 points in his last 10. Gaborik with 2 points in his last 10 and 4 goals in his last 29 games. Four. Four goals. Those are the real problems with this team. There are so many things going wrong that adding guys to the bottom-six for any reason equates to putting down a hardwood floor while your house is on fire.

Clowe would help. So would a player like Torres.
