Players like this seem to make a real difference in NY, and it's worth not missing the playoffs for lack of a role player agitator.

Watching this NYR/Habs game, the Rangers are lifeless. I was actually thinking Prust might want to scrap with someone on his old team and I realized there isn't anybody on the Ranger to even scrap.

confused.. what is wrong with selling guys like Pyatt and Boyle? :help:
 
i think the best place for marian gaborik would be st louis they have lots of cap space and good players

See, I don't consider trading Gaborik as a selling move. Pyatt/Boyle are hardly rental targets. I agree, trade them, but we're not in a position to "sell"

I'd move Boyle for anything because then Torts can't put him on the ice 40,000 minutes a game... He's a 4th liner

and yeah pyatt is worthless, so if we can get a pick.. who cares?

id trade boyle and gaborik. no one else has value or should be retained going forward.
 
Girardi for Florida's 1st.
Gaborik for Colorado's 1st.
Richards for Calgary's 1st.
 
I some would disagree with me here, but we need to move Gaborik for a 1st and prospects. We can't "upgrade" because whoever we get will suck and we still wont score any goals. Get close to NHL ready prospects to come in next year and hopefully adopt a new system that works and go from there.

So we do it at the draft. Maximize his value. Trading him now limits us to teams that are contending and just gets the Jackets a better pick. Does nothing for us.

Or a contending team offers more now for the shot to have him for 2 runs at The Cup and moves young NHL ready plAyers. It's not like Gaborik is helping the Rangers.

I would be happy even if they just moved Boyle and Pyatt for picks/UFA bodies. Just clear out the crap.

may as well waive Gilroy, send Newbury down

I know they are saying they wont do anything to panic but if a fair Gaborik deal is offered they pull the trigger.
