I would really like to see some of these redundant players who aren't bringing much attempted to be traded. Boyle, Pyatt, Powe, Asham, Gilroy. Maybe there is a taker for Hamrlik now that he has played and proven he is a competent 3rd pairing guy.

if Florida would do that and the Rangers had a chance for a top 3 overall draft pick i would take that risk.... id love Erik Gudbranson but that is a dream...

I like Miller, Kreider and all but a contending team should not be playing rookies in the bottom 6 and expect to win.........the Sens are doing it but they are rebuilding , sure its working for them but this Ranger team was supposed to be a cup contender

I dont know how but the the Rangers are 4 pts from 7th with a game in hand.........the Isles, Canes, Caps are all right there too. This shortended season is messed up
 
Blues have some goalie prospects 4..

Rangers trade Brian Boyle to Blues for Niklas Lundstrom and 2ed???

Rangers need to start getting depth at the goalie position. it takes a while for a goalie to make his mark... 4-5 usually......
 
would you deal Del Zotto in a trade for Pavelski... id love Pavelski on this team.....
 
rather just deal say Boyle for Torres..........get rid of that contract for next yr and add a gritty player that has some nuts. Even if he is a UFA
 
no point trading for UFAs as the team isn't going anywhere this season. Need to trade for the future: draft picks and players under 30 that are signed

i hope they trade a prospect for prospect type deal or acquire a prospect for depth player type trade... get a prospect for boyle... im sure some team would offer something for him
 
I think Boyle actually has some value for a team wanting to go deep in the playoffs. He's not having a good season but he kills penalties well, is defensively responsible and as he showed last season with Prust he can be effective on the forecheck. In fact, the Habs should look at re-uniting them

I agree. Whether now or later, the team needs young players and prospects. At the draft, you're right, we have more options and a good chance of possibly grabbing a higher 1st than if we were to deal him at the deadline and grab a contender's 1st. However, if Sather were to deal him at the deadline, I'm really hoping it's for prospects like Khokhlachev or maybe Jurco or Tatar and a 1st. I'd deal with a lower 1st to grab a respected prospect that can grow with our team, especially over the alternative of using him in a package for players like Clowe. Clowe is simply just not the answer here.
 
how about a trade for Smid from Oilers??

Ladislav Smid and Tyler Pitlick to NYR for Brady Skjei and Brian Boyle ??
 
A trade I proposed on to Avs fans was Gaborik + Boyle + one of the thirds for Jones, Barrie, and either Sami Aitokallo or a pick.

There was some decent response to it but it would have to be tinkered. They want Jones out of there and he would probably be good here next year. Would love to get Downie too if Torts is still around next year.

Jussi Jokinnen scored again tonight. He has 12 points on the year which is as much as the Rangers bottom six. I'm still in on him and would do it if they take back one of Pyatt/Asham/Boyle.

Would TBL want Gaborik? Would they be willing to part with Namestnikov or Koekoek (injury prone but has potential) and Rangers take Malone back?
 
Tampa Bay has the 2nd best offense in the league. Why would they trade St. Louis who is 4th in points and 2nd in assists for a weaker, slumping offensive player in Gaborik who carries a higher cap hit?

It just doesn't make sense.
