meh. let him play another few games.
good idea, while we continue to watch out bottom 6 have absolutely zero chance at getting a goal.

Search "greening" in all of the Gabby threads.
Search "hornqvist" in all of the Gabby threads.
There wasn't agreement.
Zibanejad,Z.Smith, Gonchar/Wiercioch for Gabby & Boyle.
I do not want to move Gaborik at all, but if you replaced Smith with Greening I would have to do that deal. Would understand if you wouldn't/couldn't do that though.
I'd do it... Zibby,Greening,Gonchar/Wiercioch.. I was purely putting Z.Smith in the deal for your 3rd Line C need.
We had this discussion in another thread.
Hornqvist + Blum + first or
Bourque + Ellis + first.
Still waiting for an answer.
id rather give smith than bourque personally. smith has more value to GMs im sure though. ill have to pass with hornqvist involved. these are my counter offers to rangers fans.
craig smith + jonathan blum + 2nd round pick
matt halischuk + ryan ellis + 1st round pick
gabriel bourque (leading preds in goals) + jonathan blum + 1st round pick
You are now nibbling around the edges.
We came down from Hornqvist + Ellis + first to Hornqvist + Blum + first to Bourque + Ellis + first, because you guys said that Hornqvist was not in play but Bourque was.
Like I said in another thread Bourque is shooting 21 % that won't last.
But I will take him instead of Hornqvist as a compromise, if Ellis and first are involved.
Bourque + Ellis + First is as far as we can go, if you don't want to send Hornqvist.
Edit: Wilson was discussed too but he was a non starter as far as you concerned and we respect that.
id settle for jonathan blum + patric hornqvist + 2013 1st round pick .. wouldnt be thrilled but we need a ****ing goal scorer.. just hope the 1st isnt top 10 like its looking...
Done, fax the papers over.
wish we could... the more i watch our top 6, the more desperate i get...

As an aside, Kreider just scored again for the Whale to tie it up against Springfield, 1-1.
Will St. Louis approach Yzerman or the other way around? Will any of this even take place? Who knows? But wouldn't St. Louis, with his career winding down, at least think about it?

This is just speculation, not a rumor, but I think it's something to think about. I've been saying for a couple of years now: if things don't go too well in TB, and there is a chance that St. Louis wants to finish his career with a contender, the Rangers should be all over that. Don't give me the he's too old ****; he's easily one of the top 5 playmakers in the league today. We've got the Tortorella/Richards connection.

Awesome player. But...Another RW
I hope this team doesn't do something like trade Callahan. Essentially Nash and Gaborik are both better RW's than Cally and if you can move Callahan for a top LW, then it's hard to argue that. Everybody is talking about dealing Gaborik but I wouldn't be shocked if it's Callahan being dealt as one of the top 3 RW's we have on the team.
This is absolutely preposterous.

Which part? Do you consider Callahan a better RW than Nash/Gabby?
Time to let go of the 'Hartford boys' era. Dubi Korpi and AA already gone. Girardi Callahan maybe next. This is the Stepan era. If you could find a team willing to give up a skilled LW scorer like Blues with Perron, you've got to explore with it. I'd do Callahan for Perron.
The part where we trade our Captain over someone like Gaborik when we are in a win now scenario.
Which part? Do you consider Callahan a better RW than Nash/Gabby?
If he wasn't the captain he'd be the obvious choice to trade. 9 out of 10 other GM's would most likely keep Nash/Gabby over Callahan. As he is the captain and "heart of this team" - that changes everything not to mention being well loved by the city.
If Leetch and Graves can be traded, so can Callahan.
Take the contract into consideration....Cally also has the elusive intangibles.
Nash is going nowhere
Gabby is having a down year, we'd be trading low... He'd still give a better return then Cally because he's a goal scorer... At least he's supposed to be and any GM giving up assets for gabby is expecting GOALS in the playoffs...
