A 2023 for Weegar seems a little to rich for me
I would like to target Zach Whitecloud from Vegas. He is on a sweetheart of a contract. If we are going big game hunting for a RD with a significant acquisition cost I think we should be kicking the tires on him to see if we can pry him loose.
I like him too. Shot blocking machine.I would like to target Zach Whitecloud from Vegas. He is on a sweetheart of a contract. If we are going big game hunting for a RD with a significant acquisition cost I think we should be kicking the tires on him to see if we can pry him loose.

Another prospect that this board was infatuated with is now gone in San Jose.
Balcers was a replacement-level player.
Dorions list of mess ups is longThis removes one of the last 2? Outstanding big complaints about Dorion…. I think we’re down to Stepan for a 2ND.
Whitecloud is a good old boy from Brandon Manitoba, where McCrimmon lived, coached and GMed for over 20 years.
He collects prairie boys like pokemon. Whitecloud, Stone, Patrick, Thompson, Kolesar, Brooks are from Manitoba or played for the Wheat Kings, and then there's another dozen or so guys from Sask and Alberta on the team too.
Don't think Whitecloud is an option. Maybe if we put former Wheatie Greig on the table.
Ah yes here comes another one those Balanced views postersThis removes one of the last 2? Outstanding big complaints about Dorion…. I think we’re down to Stepan for a 2ND.

I don't know what that is but he's been a legit top pairing DMan for at least 2 yrs now. And a successful #1 for extended stretches. If anything, I feel like some bad play in the playoffs + a Florida implosion have made him underrated.Weegar is so overrated ever since he did the Weegsy baby vids
Can you understand I don't want to be mad at Dorion ? I want him to do a good job and build a winning team. So far this off-season that is what he is doing so I personally don't give a f*** about his past mistakes. He is trending up and that is all that matters to me.You’ll have to provide that balance for me and update the current worst things were mad about Dorion for .. I’ll take 5 or 10 or whatever you think.
Looks like we can get Balcers back if we want him.
I legit don’t know. I never tweet at players although the is notorious for searching his own name. I’ve tweeted about him a few times. But nothing ever THAT bad? Once I said he deserved some norris considerationHow do you get blocked by Methot lol. Such a nice guy.
I would say neither of your first two premises are true, but then I'll get chewed out by Bert again. There's a reason they want to part with him, and it's not because he was only poor in the playoffs. I think he's a bounceback candidate, but people need to know he's a defensive liability.I don't know what that is but he's been a legit top pairing DMan for at least 2 yrs now. He’s known as a good defensive d man. Stats seem to prove that? (Lots of defensive d men are bad defensively). This is first I’ve heard of defensive liabilityI would say neither of your first two premises are true, but then I'll get chewed out by Bert again. Dorion gave up a prospect we had just drafted in the 2nd for Burrows, gave him a 5M/2YR contract and then bought him out a year later
Dorion gave up a 2nd for Stepan, had to put Balcers on waivers due to a lack of forward spots, and it was an absolute flop.
Had less to do with Dahlen and Balcers being world beaters than terrible pro-scouting thinking Stepan and Burrows weren't finished.
The reason they might part with him is because he's going to get paid and they won't be able to afford it. He's been top 10 and top 15 in Norris voting the last two years, an extremely good possession player + driver of possession, including when playing a highly defensive role... some of the best shot suppression and expected + real goals against numbers in the league... physical, gets in front of pucks, good puck management... I really don't see any argument that he isn't a top pairing D, and I really don't see any argument that he didnt step up admirably in Ekblads absence.I would say neither of your first two premises are true, but then I'll get chewed out by Bert again. So you're saying there's a chance. My feeling is the price for Chychrun and Weegar is high. He won't be free. Maybe Greig is a high side fair price and is lower than what is being discussed here for Chychrun or Weegar.
they are moving him cause they can't keep him due to the cap. Other than that it seems like they actually would want to bring him backI would say neither of your first two premises are true, but then I'll get chewed out by Bert again.
