Proposal: Trade Rumours/Proposals PART XXXXII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. its possible (depending on who we add) but I suspect we carry an extra due to injuries and depending on how Sanderson looks early. i think adding a RD just means that Zaitzev is gone

I also don't think they start Sanderson as a 2nd pairing guy

I can see him rotating in and getting some games on that pair but I don't see that as a season long solution for a team wanting to be in the playoffs.

I think the issue is we are asking Brannstrom to come in a carry a pairing. That shouldn't be asked of Brannstrom nor Sanderson this year. They need to bring a legit top 4 defensemen who is steady in the NHL to play with Chabot and Branny. Zub can cover one of those spots but the top spot with Chabot will really stabilize and let the other guys fall into space

Add someone like Weegar and now other guys can fall into a better spot such as brannstrom and zub

LD is probably a tough thing for the sens to get past

I know but it’s a top pairing guy. And a physical monster.

Oh yah I get what you are saying. I just want someone better, He could be played there but Its not a long term solution. I think Sanderson will be the better player by mid season and will get better as the season goes on

definitely possible. I rather keep both and let them play it out so we have some insurance. One very clear issue we had last year was puck movement aswell which only Chabot and Branny brought.

I know Sanderson 'potentially' fixes a lot of those issues but unless a team specifically wanted Brannstrom for say Chychrun I rather keep them both
I am also of the camp that hamonic and Holden should not be playing 82 games on a roster that wants to make the playoffs

I can see him being a useful guy to have for another year.

hopefully not our 1st rounder in 2023 unless weegar comes with an extension

Weegar could want to sign in Ottawa asap being an Ottawa boy and having a spot cemented beside Chabot
