Well aware it may be an overpayment. But, our window with all these high end pieces is limited and I am willing to go all in for a thing we have never seen in Ottawa, and this would do it. :stanley::stanley::stanley::stanley::stanley:

All it takes is one or two injuries or a bad match-up and all those assets are gone for nothing.

Not to mention, I would only go all in once we have a track record for making the playoffs with the core that we have.

I don’t understand how we are having to retain AND add an asset to Murray. It makes zero sense, one or the other sure, but both seems overkill.

A feel a three-way coming up.

Shame brown just didn’t want to sign. He’s not even American! But he’s getting older. Gotta take his shot at a cup ASAP and don’t think we could afford his next deal

Ehhh… when his contract expires and he is a UFA able to go ANNNYYWHERRRE.

Like the pressure Calgary is facing now with Matthew and JG… yes , I know Matthew is a year away from UFA.
So when he’s 30 then, you think.

Mike Smith? Isn't he retired?
Don't think so... could be wrong, but don't think so. He has been good in Edmonton and can probably still handle 30-45 games as needed.
Brown isnt american tho

The goalie?!?!?!?

My guess is pulj and second.

Maybe…..ceci???
The goalie!

We will need one if we trade Murray and Smith can hold his own. Practice would be intense with him and Forsberg in net

Maybe I am projecting, but I don't think the org is comfortable going into next year with Goose/Sogaard as our 2/3.

I would be happy with Ceci but, believe it or not... his value is a lot higher than Brown's right now, I think.

Pulj + 2nd would be fine value, I like Puljuarvi, but not sure where he fits. Not sure he's a DJ type player .Smith fills a clear need.
