I wouldn't consider being playing behind the soon-to-be Vezina winner as "losing his job".
There isn't a single goalie with Swayman's upside and track record available in free agency this year.
You don't have to agree with trading Pinto for him, but he'd be far and above the most attractive goaltending target for most teams should he be put on the market.

The question isn't whether Swayman is a good young goalie. He is. The question is he worth what you'd have to trade for him + what his contract expectations would be.
I'd argue that Pinto + Samsonov would be a better bet for the next 3-4 years than just Swayman, and they'll likely be making a similar amount.
As good as Swayman is, I don't think he performs as well behind a team that doesn't have the best defensive forward of all time. Pinto, Stu, and Norris are good on both ends of the ice, but Bergeron is an absolute god on defense.
Samsonov is an RFA, so he's not an option.
Of course the question is what the cost would be to acquire and sign him.
Personally I'm not as high on Pinto as most around here and would be comfortable trading him for someone I view as one of the best young goalies in the game.

Philly gets a rebuild package. JBD is a promising defence prospect who will be 23 next year he will be a NHL dman for many years. Jospeh is a cap dump. I am the biggest Leevi fan on this board but I am ready to move one of him or Soogard if it means getting a legit goalie. Joseph is the cap dump and gives Philly a serviceable vet.

I think Hart is out , just for the reason he was on the same team as Formenton and Bath. I don’t see that happening until the report is released.

I like Dubois or Keller! But I don't think we could get Hellyebuyck for Debrincat. But I would pull that trigger.

DeBrincat to Winnipeg doesn't really make sense at all, unless they have the sercret sauce for a pre-negotiated extension. They'd just be swapping pending ufa needing to be dealt for pending ufa needing to be dealt.

He's essentially proposing a mid to late round first and a goaltending prospect that is not ranked in the top ten in the league. Joseph cap dump cancels JBD out.
That's not too much for one of the best young goalies in the game imo.

even if you use joseph to cancel out JBD (Joseph didnt have that bad of a season imo but lets go down this road)
a mid to late first and a prospect (goalie or otherwise) is too much for a goalie
korpisolo got a lot less then the proposal, and had slightly better stats while in cbj vs hart in philly. Korpisolo is 5 years older but 5 years shouldnt take the value from quick and a 3rd to a first and a prospect
vanecek got traded for a 3rd and devils had to move down 7 spots in the second round for it, similar stats but is 3 years older and it was his signing rights so Hart does get more than this
there are probably more examples and im sure an exception to my examples can be found. Older goalies with similar stats to hart essentially got traded for 3rd round picks. Hart has age on his side and potential. Just based off the recent market and the fact that hart needs a raise he should be getting a 2nd max (can still put joseph and jbd in as that is basically a different deal)

Hart is just a solid goalie making under 4 mil
I like the idea of bringing him in tandem with Forsberg but not breaking the bank for him. I am not breaking the bank for any goalie to be honest
In saying that, Philly also has Laughton and Konecny I would be interested in.
We got to figure out the top 6 with DBC on the way out, and the bottom 6.
