Callahan wouldn't even be the centerpiece in a trade for Johansen. But it won't happen. The Rangers need to target a young guy who HASN'T broken out, not someone who is in the middle of one. Boston did that with Reilly Smith. The Rangers need to find someone like that.

No interest in paajarvi , Stewart for Callahan is even value. And Ladd is basically Callahan..

Dubi fixes our #2 LW hole, with size and grit no less, and can be a C in a pinch. Proven NY Success.

Gaborik is just CBJ unloading a mistake, and we'd only want him here for this years PO push anyway. Gaborik at #2 or #3 RW is a nice depth scoring player to have.

Seriously though, Paajarvi is a MUCH better player than his career in NA show so far. EDM was a horrible place for him where he got to play on a worthless team AND take a back seat to bunch if 1st overalls. STL is stacked and he isn't getting good minutes their either. A lot of arm chair Scouts are tearing him apart, but he got good size and skates well. Good hocky player overall. Someone like BR could definitely get something out of him.
