Boyle is having a strong game and he scored.

Boyle, Del Zotto for Nail

That went through my head too. I'd love if it was Boyle instead of miller for future reasons even though boyles pking and face offs is what we need now

mdz, brassard, boyle for gagner and j. schultz. 2 righties. gagner's NTC doesn't kick in until next year.

You'd have to sweeten the deal a bit, but I do think Edmonton would be interested in a guy like Boyle.

Hey guys just wanted to chip in :

I really REALLY doubt the Oilers move Yakupov, they even publically said to the media that all of the reports about Yakupov being on the trading block are "100% false"

I know Hemsky doesn't get much respect around this place but if he did indeed get moved to New York you guys will love him, you'll see.

As for the Gagner thing above apparently MacTavish gave Gagner a verbal NTC for this year (not that it means much but it sounds like they dont want to move him either) then his NTC kicks in the season after. Most Oilers fans would be willing to part with Gagner but it seems like management really likes the kid and wants to keep him around.

Me personally i hope theres a way we can resign him on a fair contract to keep the bottom 6 stable...... i know its the cool thing to rip on him but hes a solid player....most people need constant flashiness tho

***Boyle*** that is ^^^

Columbus told us its 100% unlikely Nash will get traded. Don't listen to management, everyone can be had for the right price if it improves your team

@GMillerTSN: Evander Kane of the Winnipeg Jets took the morning skate and was in the warmup. But Kane is out tonight, says he's healthy.

Thats the guy I would want most if available.

It's always exciting to see a big name player in trade rumors to NY. It's not always common to see a big named player in trade rumors who is only 20 years old.

Are the Rangers really looking into a deal of this magnitude? What would the return be if the Oil dealt Yakupov here? Value is down. He's off to a bad start. Would the Rangers be able to make this deal w/out forfeiting a first rounder this year? 2 staring drafts w/out a 1st would suck. Of can Glen get it done with say Girardi and Miller or MDZ. Too much salary going to Edm. Would need a dump coming back the other way.

Can the Rangers swing a deal w/out giving up Kreider?

Hemsky + Yakupov

Girardi + Miller + Boyle + 2014 1st Rounder

Oilers management make turmoil for themselves through poor drafting. For some teams, it's a no-brainer to take the best player available. That was not the case with the Oilers once they kept tanking.
They make a problem for themselves drafting too many forwards, and they compound their problem by not being decisive on what to do about fixing their glaring problems.
Dallas Eakins is a good coach, but he can only do so much.

As for Oilers fans, I am surprised by how many of them (perhaps it is just a case of vocal minority) don't seem to 'get it'.
Since I have never really respected Kevin Lowe as an executive very much, I find it amusing. That Oilers team needs to make a trade NOW. I think they will.

Still would take an offensive talent for the right price. We know tonight's game was a fluke for the most part offensively. Still a great game nonetheless, but they still could use help.

You have to remember the Rangers are still missing Nash, who's a MAJOR part of their offense. Plus, the Rangers have major cap issues. As a Rangers fan, I'd consider trading Richards, MDZ, Girardi, and a pick for Yakupov and Schultz, but I doubt Edmonton would accept those 3 players.

I cannot see the Oilers wanting Pyatt, not for hockey reasons nor anything else.
They brought Andrew Ferrence in to be their anchor, the guy who fills the big leadership hole on and off the ice. I am not putting Andrew Ferrence down whatsoever, but that shows the incompetence of Oilers management.

id give up a LOT to get Evander Kane on this team...exactly the kinda kid you want on this club...fits AVs style to a Tee...

But, it would probably be cost prohibitive..that team has a lot of real good parts...honestly their awfulness doesnt make much sense...they should be a much better team than they are.
