i really ****ing DESPISE, hate Kadri. 24/7 only solidifies it.

Only saw the 1st episode so far, what does he do?
I think we end up seeing a DZ & Brassard trade to TOR for Kadri & Gardiner.
I'd take my chances with this. I'm sorta sad that MDZ has to go but he has to go. Brassard has had his moments but his overall body of work has been underwhelming. Both are upcoming RFAs that will want bigger contracts.
I though Kadri played really well last year and Gardiner played really well two years ago. You could have never gotten these players aftyer their first solid year. I like their chances of rebounding better than MDZ's.
A classic my problems for your problems trade.
Yes. Exactly. Both teams spare themselves of continued mediocrity, and get take the guys that need a "change of scenery" off the roster, for the hopes that the change gets more out of the players.
Kadri is too much value vs a guy like Brassard, who you know what he is at this point. Dont think Toronto bites on that one. Maybe throw in a pick or a prospect of their choice.
How often does that actually happen?DZ is a TOR kid, and TOR would insulate him with their system and maybe being close to home brings consistency to his game.

Anyways:
Kadri >>>>> Brassard
Gardiner >>>>>> Del Zotto
Per Dreger, the Westgarth/Nemisz trade was driven by Carolina wanting to free up a contract.
A move which coincides nicely with Marc Staal's return to the lineup. Speculate away.![]()

how does this free up a contract?? Nemisz is signed.. or did you mean roster spot??? maybe someone is coming back from IR from the Canes.![]()
Darren Dreger said:Hurricanes needed to move a contract, hence the Westgarth trade.

Well he plays in Toronto, so I would assume not.Kadri seems like a guy where the stage of NY wouldn't hurt him.
Del Zotto Brassard and a pick should be an appealing enough package to get someone to give us a nice piece in return. I've always imagined Brassard as the ideal guy to package with DZ. Individually both have less value than their talent and remaining potential should dictate but in a package with a 2nd or 3rd they should be able to fetch a nice return.
