ugh I will seriously snap if Hagelin is dealt. I hear good things on Greening but not sure what Stone brings. im scared
Stone is a decent young player. adds size with skill. Greening is decent.. trading Hagelin hurts big time with his speed and hustle. if it was Del Zotto Boyle and say someone like St.Croix i could get behind something like that..

The blind infactuation with unproven US college kids (Nieto is the latest hype - totally green little guy with a mere 26 NHL games and6 points as of yet - but ready to replace a player with 170 games played and 86 points= 0,5 PPG in the league) here to owe favor to homegrown Europeans on the Rangers is a bit disturbing to say the least. Otoh what might guys like Zuccarello and Hagelin realistically be able to net right now? They are both pending RFAs within 2 years and will not break the bank, they carry a mere combined cap hit of 3,3 M. They are on pace for 54 and 41 points respectively for an 82 game season. I am all ears if this kind of deal actually could improve the team. They might hold very good value. The sad part is the rest of the team is still there, they are sucking it up to entirely different cap levels and are not as easy to move. No?

That's horrendous and we're idiots if that goes through. Also trading for a guy like Methot on the left might indicate to me that Staal is worse than we think. Goodbye all hopes of the Rangers scoring goals. Trade two guys who at least can be catalysts offensively got grinders and stay-at-home D.

You nailed it. You can trade an injured player as long as the injury is disclosed. Dorsett was injured when the Rangers acquired him.

When MDZ firt popped up in trade rumors I posted Methot would be a great return. He is IMO one of the most underrated defenseman in the league today. Love his game!
Greening and Stone? Good additions, but at the expense of Hagelin? No way! Hagelin is an absolute gem of a player. Lightning fast, decent hands and his motor is always running. I would hate it if that is the deal.

I'm going to say that Glen Sather is better than the deal that TSN radio mentioned. I don't believe the deal to be true...at all.
Again love Methot. Methot at the expense of MDZ and Hags is simply brutal. Take nothing from Greening and Stone but that return is just not equal. Add Zach Smith and Greening and it's a way better deal.

That reported rumored deal is like a Sens fan's NHL 14 wet fantasy trade. Absolutely brutal for the Rangers. They trade a 23 year old PMD and a 25 year old 2nd line winger for a 30 year old defensive defenseman, a 3rd/4th line tweener, and a prospect that can't skate? Brutal. Just brutal.

That's terrible! Hagelin is a very important part of this team and he's been playing really well lately. I hope it's not true, unless they missed some pieces from Ottawa.
