Bob stood on his head, Skinner let in a weak goal.

Thanks, you just proved my point.

Bob got beat 3x that game. 1 goal, 1 post and 1 that went thru him but his dman cleared it.

Our only goal came from a bottom 6 player while both theirs came from their top 2 wingers.

It's become so unimaginative to blame goaltending ppl don't even have a grasp on reality..and the reality is our top players failed to show up that game and theirs did.

I agree 100% goaltending should have been the sole focus. That's something that Bowman can legit be criticized for.

Seeing Mazrek was the only one moved today shows that the established ones weren't going anywhere unfortunately.

I think not going all out for Askarov or Knight was a bigger blunder than not signing Rantanen, but that's just me.
Oh yeah. Rantenan was never on our list or my list. Makes Carolina play seem even sillier. That management deservedly being called out for now losing what they paid for Rants in Necas and now having nothing for it.

I'm even on record saying Colorado didn't lose that deal. At price Necas better value and might be a better player.

The problem is, this fan base is as dumb as it gets so no matter what players they get it’s always a failure
Sure thing... maybe media is dumb as well. Not everyone is buying the mgmt kool-aid that our goaltending is solid and our defense is great.

It's a 2 man show and not a team.

Enjoy kapanen as 4C , dumb n dumber in net and klingberg/Emberson/stecher/ Bouchard on RD

Stecher is the best of the above RHD lot.

The most damning stat for me this year isn't the point totals of the forwards or the goaltending stats or anything like that...

It's the strikingly low number of wins in regulation, only 26. That's 13th among all playoff teams. If this team didn't kick ass at overtime we're probably sitting in a wild card spot right now. And there's no 3 on 3 in the playoffs.

I'm not "stanning for management", I'm just not deluding myself that signing Rantanen for 8 years at $12M+ was even a remote possibilty.

You are redirecting criticism of the overall approach to the season towards one specific action that no one is trying to make or break the deadline on. This is your attempt at trying to deflect from valid outrage at Bowman and Jackson's failures. You refuse to criticize the org because that's what you've been told to do, and you'll be damned if you don't deviate from that.

Maybe if we run every playoff opponents goalie and then run their backups we’ll be on even ground in net.

Amazing.

A part worse than Bowmans lack of action today is me clicking 'like' on Drivesaitl's posts. Just feels wrong!

And this, my friends, is the ChatGPT summary of what I and others on here refer to as "Simps" and "Apologists."

And the bolded is a perfect summary of anyone who claimed that an upgrade in goal was neither available nor affordable.

I don't remember exactly but there have been some issues with him in the past?

Even pretending that what you said isn't a total deviation from reality and objectivity, which it is, explain game three where McDavid came up big with two assists, the Oilers only lost by a goal...and Skinner had an .826. Gee, I wonder who you can blame there? Hmm...

I love recycled scripts.

Namely him figuring he should be the highest paid player in hockey. That kind of thing. Colorado did the only sensible thing they could do in getting rid of him before negotiation bomb went off and getting a real quality player in return. Was Aces management by Colorado. Next contract is a hand grenade. Stars fell on it, looks like. Not sure what the Canes were doing...
