Does anybody see any other reports that Callahan and the Rangers are showing progress? Is this guy talking out of his ass?

Finally. Some closure. Deal with the rest of the players. The Rangers wanted something done by the March 5 deadline. Not lingering into the summer or trading his rights for a late round pick. Pay or trade.

If Sather can't get a respectable deal for Callahan, we're better off keeping his ass. Again though, we'll have to get creative to improve this team going forward.

Callahan's agent says he's continuing to talk with Rangers, nothing new. Girardi's signing has no bearing on his client's status.

That would be less than we've already offered him so I'd freak that it happened. But I'd sign him to that for sure.
