Then he wouldn't just tweet Sami Vatanen unless there was something to it.
Correct. Although, he's usually not this cryptic at all.
He's usually straight forward. Surprising.

BTW, Ducks fans are ok moving Vatenen it seems. Is that bad sign? Usually fans overrate their players, if they're ok moving him, I wonder if they know something that we don't.
Another thing, won't a Girardi-Vatanen swap really hurt our D, at least when it comes to defense?
Jeff Gorton is very high on Kristo. He's the one that pushed to acquire him. He's being developed properly. He'll come out next year and open some eyes. He's not getting traded. I like Fast as a player more than Kristo as a player, but I see Fast as the trade bait over Kristo. Fast has injury concerns, I'm really not sure he can stay healthy for a sustained period of time. Is it best to get something for him now?

Boomer could very well have heard from his source that the Rangers were close to a deal for Vatanen. That could be all he knows. He tweets "Sami Vatanen" and then looks good if the trade goes through.
Still not his m.o.
He really only tweets before huge transactions or news. And so far, he's been right on all of them.
He's generally more specific with the news. But i'm guessing the short and cryptic tweets are all he can do, this close to the deadline.
If he isn't a full time NHL next season, and doesn't play 80 something games from now till July 1st 2015.... Kristo becomes a UFA.
He's almost 25 and fits under UFA parameters for career minor league players. He spent 4 years at college and one in US Juniors after his draft. Amazing shot, but the rest of his game is hollow.
Kristo can pass the puck too, big time. I loved what I saw of his game at Traverse and in Hartford the few times I got there.
He needed work away from the puck, and I know he's been banged up recently. But he was also on a legit tear there for a while, was like 6th in AHL in goals at one point.
Im real anxious to see what he could do, especially on the PP.
I keep him over Fast any day. I dont like hammering on young guys, but Fast showed next to nothing every time I saw him. Marginal guy to me until he shows otherwise.
Serious question, Todd: when's the last time you saw Fast play?
Fast is certainly better than Kristo. Kristo just gets hurt less.
I'm sure Kristo has more of a knack for boneheaded plays but I would notice him on the ice more often than Fast.
How does Vatanen compare to DZ offensively and defensively?
Can't wait to be stupidly nervous for around 20 minutes of play tonight during Callahans shifts.
