I'm thinking it's going to be Haglien and Cally to TB if they're demanding more . Just a feeling, I haven't read anything indicating.

Hopefully not Fast. Kristo, Bourque, I'm more than fine with. I think Fast has a bright future. I don't know why that author thinks Kristo has more value to the Rangers. I think he has more value to other teams because he has a bigger name, but has less value to the Rangers. I think Fast is the better prospect.

If the Canucks are listening to offer for Edler maybe we should look into that. Would of course requier McD to move over to the right side...

...But Edler was spectacular for Sweden in the OGs. He is just so comfortable in a man-man defense and he is also very solid with the puck. 6 years and 5m per is very good for him when he is playing like that, we also have to remember that we will be in this situation with Marc Staal too in 12 months.

Ryan Callahan and John Moore for Edler and Kassian?

errrr big difference in Fast / Kristo vs. Bourque.

Bourque is not expected to be anything. 4th liner if lucky

Where did that come from?

If Tampa is dealing MSL its because they have to, not for any other reason. IF they face that decision, what team would be offering a better package to Tampa than Cally straight up???

Lol. You're expecting a top 5 picks AND and excellent prospect AND a good middle 6 physical player?

Plus, the piles can choose between this year and next year as to when they give up their first.

Isles can hold onto their pick this year. Next year they go to Brooklyn and look a hell of a lot more attractive to FA's. They'll have an influx of money. They'll round out their roster, maybe even be able to sign someone like Ryan Miller to solve their goalie problems.

New coach hire, stronger roster likely. They can make the playoffs and that 1st cound become 15-22.

It's a slap in the face and probably was more so the straw that broke the camels back than the only reason. Wife and young kids in CT buying out his good buddy vinny I who gave everything to that community and org. To name a few

If Buffalo bit at:

Callahan (extended)
Kristo

for

Grigorenko
Isles 1st
Foligno

...

I'd be fine with that. Otherwise. I wouldn't really like losing him.

Buffalo is not trading Grigs. And if they did, that package doesn't get him. Not to mention you're adding in a protected pick and another good player.

Massive overpayment from Buffalo. I'd kill for that for the Rangers.

I trade Kristo, Cally and a pick for Grigs alone, if they'd listen, but they won't.

Unfortunately, Murray can hold out until after the season and keep the 3 assets. That would be a great deal but don't see any chance of it happening.

You overvalue prospects.

It'll be funny if Grigs isn't on the roster next year and forces his way out of there for pennies.

Islanders are not moving to Brooklyn until the year after next. They will be bad next year, once again.

i completely disagree, how can you have st.louis in the dressing room, when his teammates know he demanded a trade, and wants out, it will create a toxic enviroment around the team, which can only be detrimental to their playoff aspirations, also it would have a tremendously negative impact on st.louis and stamkos's relationship and their play on the ice too
Well, theyare all professionals. St Louis played tremendously before the Olympic Break. Nothing to worry about with him..he'll play hard and well if he is there.
The team is in a playoff hunt. All will be pushed aside after March 6th if he is still there. The Nash fiasco might help push Yzerman towards making a deal sooner rather than later though. Howson waited and really did not get anything additional by waiting.

No way we are getting St Louis for Callahan straight up though, so we might as well begin to transition this thread to what the "+" is going to look like.
I think that today's developments and comments combined with Boomer's proclamation indicate that there is a very real chance this happens and the only variable left is what additional assets the Rangers will be giving up.

I think it's scary (what Sather might be willing to pony up) and exciting (The tought of St Louis added to current group) at the same time.

Hopefully not the Rangers. I'd probably be ok with it at, the end of the day, if it was Cally + ____...it's just the philosophy that irks me. Then again, should this team be in a relative "win now" mode with Hank in his prime? Does St. Louis address this team's needs? He's a goalscorer / gamebreaker, which we need. But he doesn't address our lack of a top center, and he obviously doesn't score those points as a defensemen. Can Sather fill the rest of the team's needs within the next 12 months?
