RangerBlue said nothing about production relative to salary.
RGY used stats to disprove what he was saying.
Boyle is grittier and tougher. He may not be strong on his skates and thus he may be at a disadvantage when he fights, but he's much much tougher than Moore. He sticks up for his team mates and he hits hard. He sells out more than anyone not named Ryan Callahan. When there is a scrum, Boyle's the one who goes in first.
Moore and Boyle are not comparable.
The comparison shouldn't be between them but Moore and Lindberg.
Lindberg is cheaper and will likely produce better than Moore on the 4th line. He's likely defensively just as responsible and can be used in the same situations Moore is used in. Additionally, since both aren't the most physical players and have similar physical frames and skill sets... they should be the ones compared when it comes to substitution on the 4th line.
So you're good with giving Boyle 2.5+ million?
