Maybe I'm just frustrated with his play as of late? So hard to watch. :banghead:

What's hard to watch? He still hustles. He still gives up his body. He still plays strong defense. He's just not scoring as much as we'd like.

It's amazing how people see what they want to see. He's got 25 points in 45 games. Nash, who is supposed to be a big time offensive weapon, has 29 points in 45 games. Yet no one says boo about Nash.

The language of that makes it sound like Cally's staying put, at least in the Eklundverse. Hags and Stralman would at least give them two NHL players in return (though I think their system's stacked all around, not just at forward). Brass has been too good for us this season. A Cally-MSL scenario would mean we're going for it now, the package would probably be more futures-oriented. I dunno. Eklund.

I can't see any real motivation for either GM to trade now tbh, for us he doesn't stop existing after Wednesday and for them they have a decent team in a very shallow conference. They can make a run with him just like we can.

So what's the scenario? Resign Cally at little over 6 per for 6, make a trade for St. Louis, and keep Ritchie? That's...scary. I honestly hope none of those things happen.

Second round exit. But differently.

Nash will still score 30 goals in a full season even if he has 0 assists.. he's playing with a 2nd liner and an invisible center, but its his fault, they can't finish.. how many times in the last 2 games did Nash give Kreider a gimme and he blew it?

and Callahan doesn't hit anymore, he hasn't stood up for his teammates during the game, he doesn't create any energy, and he doesn't score, WTF does he do

Buying out Richards, signing Stastny and trading for MSL would honestly be my favorite way to go in the offseason.

Those aren't risky moves - or maybe I'm just comparing them against the possibility of keeping Richards, the possibility of keeping Callahan and people on HFBoards talking about magical unicorn "#1Cs" who would come here through any non-overpaying trade.

hmm dusting byfuglien adds nice size to the team im sure jets would expect a decent return for big buf, still remember him laying out pronger into boards during scf
Carchidi reported today that Winnipeg is looking for a roster player and a 1st round pick.

Lol. We must share Grandpas or something.
Maybe way down the line.

So using this logic we can say Callahan is better than Nash because he is playing with even lesser players and still keeping pace. :p:

I'd do Cally and a 1st for Buff, honestly. Fills a need. I'd play him on D with Staal or McD who can cover for him. His size and offense from the point, plus right handed shot on the PP, would be HUGE. We haven't had that forever now.

Haglin. The krisco kid a second round pick is a rumor going around with media in t.b.
Is it possible maybe but I see a first not a second being Stevie Y target..

Rangers wiLl be smurfs all over again

Signing Stastny wouldn't be a risky move? Dropping 50m~ And overpaying for players has worked wonders for us in the past.
