Anderson had his best year production wise under Torterella, and loved playing with him, while it’s being reported that the Flyers want to win now. The two players you just mentioned, PLD and Laine both hated playing for him.

So now that the Flyers are suddenly in “win now” mode, they have minimal cap space and they have a GM with a history of making some terrible moves. They need centers and right wingers, and Anderson and Dvorak fit that bill and bring them much closer to win now mode, while being signed to term. They’d be shipping out cap in JVR and still getting a late first rounder. Basically getting two solid signed assets to help immediately and a late first to help later on, while the Habs get a top pick to add to their rebuild and a player to flip at the deadline. Seems like a pretty fair deal for both sides to me.

If you really don't have your Habs glasses on and really think this is a good deal for both sides, why not go post this proposal in the Flyers forum and see what they think? Or the main board and see what neutral fans think.

In all honesty, when I make a proposal that both fan bases of the teams involved think is bad, I know I'm usually in the right realm - because both fan bases underneath it all want to get something without giving up much significant, or at least less than what they're getting.

JA is worth more than 14 places in the draft
I'd do 26 and Anderson for 12 in a heart beat.

But I think Colombus has moved on from JA.i'd do Dvorak and 26 for 12, and then Anderson and 12 for 5.

I would even add to these. But I don't think Colombus and Philly are interested.

I did post it on the main board,
thanks.

How are the mighty fallen? I bet he's catering to an audience.
or does he cater at weddings too?? he is reaching

I would trade Anderson, Dvorak, 26, and take back JVR for 5OA.

But I don't consider any of the pieces we're offering a splash. So don't think that's what the Flyers are looking for, unfortunately.
then move the 5th and some stuff to get the 2nd? lol

Another option would to be to trade Anderson/Petry/Dvorak for picks in next years draft. It might open up some options if they are flexible in that sense.

One thing's for sure: we're over the cap once Romanov. Eyc sign, so someone's getting moved.

Almost certainly a winger and Petry.
For sure. Once Petry moves, Price will end up on LTIR (Hughes said as much when he trades Weber) and a winger or two, we’ll have plenty of cap space to take on a bad contract or two and sign Romanov. Summer hasn’t even started and we already shed a couple million.

Could you share a link?

My post is in the thread.

No need for Murray. We still have Allen at a very decent price + Primeau is not far from NHL now. Thre is intresting goalies on the UFA market like Husso. And you don't want to give more muscle and more scoring power to your immediate opponent in your division.

And I don't want prospects of the Heineman-Smilanic 'caliber".....
I don't think you understood the point of acquiring Murray, plus you're wrong twice in that post.

"More muscle and scoring power to immediate rival" is irrelevant when we're 2-3 years away from even thinking about contending. By then, Anderson isn't the player he is today (which is why we're trading him) and even now, let's be honest, he's not making you shit your pants if you go against him.

Also, please watch Greig play before comparing him to Heineman and Smilanic. Greig would be as good a prospect as Guhle right now.

And finally, I wouldn't play Primeau in the NHL next year.

Sorry. Habs gonna need some experience, weight and muscle to support Caufield, Suzuki, Farrell, Roy, Wright (?). Of course, they can grab DesLauriers on the UFA market or get a part time goon like Imama or Olivier. Murray is expensive and mediocre.

...what I meant was that at least Dads competes hard and doesn't just float around being a liability on the ice like Hoffman does 90% of the time...
Is Dadonov as good as Tatar ?

...in my opinion, no he is not...he's somewhat less talented & even more mercurial than Tuna was with us...that said, he's still got some juice to his game and, even at his "worst", is a middle six scoring option for a team looking to "get over the hump"...should retain at least some value at the deadline...

I think you have very good options this year on the FA market, and it *should* be a buyer's market (plus I'm not too stressed with Kent negotiating). Nischushkin, Marchment, Palat, R Smith, Niederreiter, Mikheyev are all guys who are not necessarily as good as Anderson but could be better than him in completing Suzuki/Caufield or Wright, and cheaper too.

It's a good opportunity to trade Anderson and gain, with many "free" options to replace him.

I'd like to know in which world is Drouin worst than Hoffman, Gallagher, Armia... Well pretty much every forward not name Caufield and Suzuki ?

I mean he sucks, but so is everyone else, no need to shit on him more than anyone else. At least, he's gone after next season unlike all the other useless wingers.

...easy answer:

In This World

...at least the rest show up, even if they're underwhelming when they do...
