Gorton might have an eye on Blais in his old team. Sammy won't be back this year but would fit the young veteran quebec leader role to perfection. A real gamer with size and speed. If NYR is serious about contending this year, he's a nice asset to trade for immediate help. Is there any cup winner on their roster? Lots of youngsters i see... Could there be interest in a retainded Toffoli ? I also heard about their Chariot interest...

Just for fun... Man i'd blockbuster these 2 and much more for something around Lafreniere and Blais. This would change the face of the club and bring back many lost quebec fans. Do NYR have bad contracts to unload? I mean excepts firsts ( they don't need em anyway) i'd do this whatever the adds are...

I am not sure they can afford Price, unless we retain considerably and take a couple a bad contracts.
I think any deal that might happen with price
Montreal will be retaining salary that's why prospects could be a key in any deal

But this will be a complex deal
I'm glad we have Jeff on board to figure this out

Once again, hyperbole no one ever said.

Yep, looking forward to build a core of MacAvoy to bring us the Cup. Who needs player like Matthews, Crosby, Malkin, Kane, Ovechkin, Huberdeau, Barkov, McDavid, Draisatl, etc. when you can have 0.5PPG career player on your first line.

Aho, Kucherov and Point would have been better example by the way.

Maybe you were sarcastic tho...

Speaking of hyperbole

He was a lottery pick.
He was picked 14th

I said “high pick”…which if you followed this thread, I was told you can only find elite players if you try to suck every year and pick in the top 3 for an unspecified amount of time.

We don't have the same definition of elite if you think Charlie McAvoy is one.

Game changers are most often than not found early in the first round. Charlie "32 points career high defenseman" McAvoy is not one of them.

Wll Mtl has consistently missed on almost all their pick, higher and lower
True, so it's one indicator among many. The issue with the drafting tactics of Trevor is that he seemed inclined to completely ignore it draft after draft.

Or maybe that was MB shtick.. Get as many low tier picks, you never know maybe this gamble will be the right one. (gambler's fallacy)

It's actually an anti-tanker argument that you have to absolutely draft 1st overall or it's not worth it.
