Which would be fine if Reinbacher and Mailloux are top pair and 2nd pair, we'd go back to 3 RD, which is what you were talking about.
I don’t see him as being someone that would prevent us from acquiring a good player at his position now, which is what I was talking about.

Or set ourselves up for a great buy low opportunity :naughty:
Nah, Zegras is basically a slightly more skilled player than Newhook. We need size desperately..
We need a 2C, totally capable of running that line.. personally, im looking at E. Pettersson. He, and Suzuki make a legit 1/2C throw in our wingers: plus who we draft this year, and that is what the Habs have desperately needed for 30 years..

We've gone from:
Petrov
Koivu
Gionta
Cammaleri
Gomez (though solid)
Desharnais
Drouin
Gallagher

To CC, Hutson, Hudon, RHP, etc..

It never ends.. why must Habs fans always be cheering for pint sized forwards? Why? We've gotta get out of this brutal cycle of building aroundsthese guys.. it never works out.. they get injured all the time..

Meh... Our top 6 is/will be bigger than the bolts top 6 in their back to back cup winning seasons.

Pettersson is taller but lighter than Z. Not sure there's any difference there from a "moar size" pov. Your argument is incoherent.

Zegras may or may not figure it out, that's the only reason he'd potentially be a buy low candidate. I wouldn't pay a premium.

Pettersson would be great, but can't imagine he'd be available anytime soon.

Tuch & Xhekaj hopefully progress enough to make the bottom 6 within the next 2-3 years.

Offseason priorities will be to add at least two steady veteran D and a 2nd line center. Dach permanent shift to wing. I'd start to move out some of these young D not named Hutson, Guhle and Reinbacher. Anyone else is on the table.

Where can we find another Sean Moneyhands?

Stop with the Zegras already. He's not that good. He's soft AF. He doesn't make us harder to play against quite the opposite.

We get Zegras, I guarantee he ends up on the 3rd line within 10 games
I guarantee that Zegras on our 3rd line would be an upgrade...

The point is to improve the talent on the roster in order to be more competitive, is it not :dunno:

I'd argue it isn't the point at this time. The point would be to improve compete, a bunch of skillful ballerinas together is leading us nowhere, maybe we'll be the next leafs once they're all mature.
