I’ve sent enough of Primeau. I’d swap him for Dobes and see what he can do in the NHL. Primeau is not an NHL goalie and isn’t tradable. Would easily clear waivers, and if he doesn’t, great.
100% sure Dobes will be given some games in the NHL this year.

Being the back up next season or even split the games with Monty.

What i would hope for is he is ready to play 30-40 solid games when Fowler comes in during 2026-2027 season.

It really sucks to have lost out on Askarov.

I know they were apparently asking for Fowler, but there should have been a deal there that didn't involve him.

He ended up going for Edstrom, Chrona, a conditional VGK 2025 1st, a 3rd and a minor leaguer.

That's not a great package imo and one we should have been able to beat.

Fowler was not drafted yet by Habs when Nashville tried to get pick #5 (in 2023) for Askarov. Habs should had done the deal because they already knew they would not draft Michkov. Reinbacher (so far) does not seem as valuable as Askarov. Maybe Nashville tried once again this year ????

Yeah i was referring to the more solid rumours this summer when Askarov forced NSH to actually trade him.

Nah that poster is talking about the year before. There were two summers of Askarov to MTL rumours.

Dobes better play 40 games at AHL level this year.

This was when he was traded 2 months ago, that were asking

The other trade was Askarov and Nashville's 1st for the Habs first to draft Reinbacher

We don't even know if Askarov is valuable.

Reports are that all three of Dubas, Spezza, and Kessel will be at the Habs-Sabres game. You guys need a goalie, we have three.

Jarry+DOC for Anderson+4th?

Nah, general thought on the Pens board is that he will go out at the TDL and return a 2nd, perhaps a 1st in the right package deal.
Dream big and then be disappointed. You might be a Habs fan.

I'd be surprised if he got a 2nd, let alone a 1st, but a late 2nd is possible since Kulak somehow got one.
