Athanasiou does absolutely nothing to what's this team biggest (by a country mile) problem, which is forward having their heads firmly up their asses in the D-Zone.
Hate to break it to you, but Habs have holes everywhere, and plenty of them.

Farrell for

Parker Bell - young, big player off to a slow start, I imagine they pass easily, though

Farrell and a pick for Pelletier.

Farrell for Duehr - big body player who's good in the AHL and a good tweener

I picked Calgary with 3 options as they might look at it as a chance to reunite he and Coronato and potentially get that chemistry from Harvard

Farrell for Curtis Douglas just because Douglas is 6'8 and has 1 more point than Farrell

Farrell and a pick maybe for Sokolov ? A big body who's over a point per game in the A

Something around Farrell for Nolan Foote. Another big body player who adds depth to Laval and could be a chance to be a 4th liner for the Habs, or maybe a 13th forward if they need someone, sort of like Condotta.

Farrell for Brett Murray ? Olivier Nadeau ?

Basically all these players were on waivers, or will be next year.

Just trade him. It would be a new look for him and could make Laval even better.

I’ve sent enough of Primeau. I’d swap him for Dobes and see what he can do in the NHL. Primeau is not an NHL goalie and isn’t tradable. Would easily clear waivers, and if he doesn’t, great.
