I've highlighted it for you.

First you're rightly devaluing EP40 saying that his cap hit is horrific and he could be a big risk.
And just after, if i understand correctly, you're basically saying Dach+ is not close to being worth EP40, without even knowing what the + part is...because his value is so high?
Well if Dach is the biggest part of the outgoing trade (hence it being his name being there with the + sign beside it), there aren’t many packages that a competitive GM wouldn’t put together to swap to get EP.

To acquire Miller would cost more imo, due to EP’s cap hit and Miller’s reputation as a playoff style player.

I really don’t hate Dach, I don’t love him either. Am rather neutral about him overall, and certainly glad he’s coming back into form.

Would JT miller waive his NMC for Montreal? And I really doubt a UFA Jake Evans and an injured Reinbacher moves the needle for Vancouver.

If any one player or asset in the NHL is being traded, Reinbacher moves the needle.

Tricky part would be how to move Savard while getting and younger better player back. Can’t be a contending team but the me with a young D corp who could use a vet and might be in the mix in the next couple of years after they sign him to an extension. Not sure what team, if any fits that mold.

I wouldn't waste assets on a top 6 center atm. Players are gonna start wanting to play in Montreal soon. Like how Toffoli signed here to play with Suzuki. Hughes can sign a UFA at a decent price. I'm all ears for RD.

I think the following gets it done if Dach bounces back in the second half to the level he was at with MTL before the knee injury:

Caufield
Dach
Mailloux
Kapanen

for

Pettersson

In order for the rebuild to be successful, they need an elite #1 C... The fact that Pettersson is available right as the habs are coming out of a rebuild is an incredible opportunity. They cannot let it slip away, don't be afraid to overpay for a #1C.

More than a guy like Dylan Cozens? or K'andre Miller? Maybe it does but it would be a pretty big gamble on their part I think

Would JT miller waive his NMC for Montreal? And I really doubt a UFA Jake Evans and an injured Reinbacher moves the needle for Vancouver. I'm sure there would be much better offers out there.

Also, Reinbacher is too important for the future Dcore. He really HAS to pan out because finding a top pairing RD is going to be difficult.

I did mention that Newhook could take Armia or Evans spot until Hage is ready.

Newhook was nowhere to be found in your line-up.

Now as far Evans, I guess it could be a trade with a promise of Evans signging there. Nucks gets a younger guy, a lot cheaper than Miller. And if he keeps producing and he gets more icetime with the Habs, he could become pretty attractive. Reinbacher is a first pick and many teams wanted him. Sure he's injured but he'll get healthier. I mean personally I want to keep him but you've got to give something to get someone.

My thinking with Evans was always I love him right now but he'll ask for more money which I'm not sure we should give him. And I would gladly trade him with other pieces for an upgrade. Cause we need a real second line center.

Exactly, so the TDL should be about getting help for a playoff push, if they were winners that is...
So they should trade 1st rounds picks and stuff? Because for real help, those are the types of deals that are made. Furthermore, we have enough 3rd and 4th line players. They are also still following the plan, which everyone agrees they should.

They don't need to get a better younger player back directly in a Savard trade. But I don't think Savard will get traded, more likely he's injured again around the deadline at this point...

I not saying they should, I'm saying they're already starting to bullshit fans with their "culture" excuses.

I bet they sit on their hands and watch the parade.

I don't agree with mumbo jumbo...

Another ridiculous post. I am sure they are talking trade all the time. Can't make one until the right deal comes along. Losers would make trades that help this season but hinder the next few.
