I think we should package our firsts and go after an established player. We have demidov coming next year. We're ready to take the next step. I don't want to wait 3 or 4 years for whoever we draft at 15 to maybe become good player. It is time
Tempting..............but they seem to want to stick to the plan, no matter the results this year.
Although Gorton is a guy, who loves to be a big fan, so...............we are definitely close to seeing a nice upturn in our rebuild.

Dach was acquired as a potential 2C. Maybe he settles in as a winger and Hage is the likely guy?
Loving the options.............the biggest add we can do, will be in camp in September..........I honestly can't remember being this excited about a kid coming from Russia to bolster the team.....
Demidov is looking a huge add for next season.

He could settle as a good bottom 6 center also. Maybe it would be a good shift for him to go defense first. Less pressure this way.

I feel that if Hage gets to be the one settling on the lower lines, it means we never really had any intention of keeping Dach past his current deal.

The more people overate a player, the more impatience you'll get. Just facts of life in all domains.
Who’s overrated Dach — management? The way posters dealt with Dach since his injury, did not sound like they were overrating him.

His fans on this board. Were you not calling a bunch of the team fans impatient? The more outlandish the promises are, the more impatient his non-fans get.

Get me Rasmus ASAP and we’ll make a serious push for the playoffs. He’s young for a D too so he fits the team.

Imagine the stability with him Carrier and big play Dave. Finally a competent right side FFS.

Any team trading a good enough centre (thinking cozens/Petterson) would likely need to fill that void which is where including Dach makes sense.

Vancouver needs defencemen as well…makes a lot of sense that we would be good trade partners.

I think Roy is gonna be included in whatever trade package we put together

Was never a big fan and whatever his redeeming offensive qualities are I don’t see him with a future here.
Regrettably, I think most other teams will have little interest in this speed challenged player.

Yeah... Heineman pretty much took his place with the Habs. I don't know if Kent will trade him or give him one more season. He is still 2 years younger than Heineman.

Anderson fits the team ... haha, you're too much. Lets get back to tanking already.

Try reading. I said he fits the team more than Kalyiev. I'm not arguing for Anderson to be kept. Kalyiev just bring nothing that is needed to the team.

Anderson can at least go fast and be along the boards in the offensive zone (however ineffective he is) while Kalyiev is still skating at the red line.

Yes try reading too, because I'm kidding since the beginning...

Kings wouldn't even trade Kalyiev for Anderson, that would be too rich for them. If we could replace a bad contract like that one for Kalyiev, jeez I can think of several moves we can do July 1st, a true dream come true.

Ok so. As a tank fan i always want whats ideal for the club. This season, we're going to be gunning for a playoff berth. Therefore, we aren't picking top 5 (bottom).

No draftees from this selection really contribute to our rebuild, so theoretically, we need to start going all in on necessary holes:
1- 2C. Desperately needed
2- 1RHD. Desperately needed.

After this, Habs are officially a "contender".
