A transaction that quietly turns sour with Kirby Dach

Meanwhile, Chicago's 13th overall pick, Frank Nazar , is off to an impressive start to his AHL career. At just 20 years old, he's already racked up 24 points, including 11 goals, in 20 games. Not only is Nazar showing meteoric rise, but he could be knocking on the NHL door as early as next season.

So the transaction has turned sour because Frank Nazar (who no one knows if the Habs would have picked him even if they kept their pick) is putting up points in the AHL?

Any reason we're not interested in Hoglander?

There is no reason for the Habs to be interested in Hoglander.

He doesn't fill a need and was overpaid for 1 year with an unsustainable shooting %.

The only deal I'd consider is for Anderson no retention and it would only be for cap reason because I prefer Anderson.

We already have enough wingers and there is no room on the roster for a small winger like Hoglander.

I'd rather give a guy like Heineman more ice time and if we have any injuries or trade someone like Armia we have guys like Davidson, Roy and Tuch who could earn a call up later this season.

That is what a poster would write here and be debated.
my point is hindsight is 20/20
who knows is the key

The Habs probably would not have even acquired the pick had Chicago not wanted a mid first round pick for Dach.
And then we would have another young top-four left defenseman, even more proven than he was when we traded him for a mid-first round pick, with far more value than Dach... I'm failing to see the problem here.

And we'd be looking at trading one of those 8 NHL ready LHD for a project forward, probably aiming for a potential top6 C... #Dach
You truly are failing to see the problem here.
