Liar! You probably have them working next to you, scouring the net and social media.

Here is a message exchange I had with my wife:

Me: Babe, any updates on trades?
Her: Get a life.

Me: Scour LeBrun, Friedman, Johnston, Dreger, Marek, Weekes and what they offer as info.
Her: Kiss my ass.

Me: Are you hearing anything regarding Savard, Allen, Pearson?
Her: Who the f**k are they? And why the f**k are you bothering me?

If I were you, I would drop the updates and take her up on her offer.

Heck, my wife is part colombian, that would be her in a loving mood :P She freaking owns an actual machete and I'm pretty sure she still remembers how to use it, so I do my best not to get on her nerves too much !

Evans is also good defensively
Yeah it's so evident on our PK.. :help:

The guy has to go we can/should do better.
The rebuild has come to the point where we need to dump the Dvoraks Evans' Pezettas Ylonens and UPGRADE.
We have the cap space and we have the assets in terms of picks and prospects it's the next step in team building.
Sure we still need that top end star but fixing the bottom will make us so much better and will pave the way.
We need some real role players who excel in those roles because we clearly don't have them.

You have Slaf, Caufield, Roy, Newhook, RHP, They all deserve to be above Anderson on wing depth. Hopefully, we bring some other piece in the summer which would put Anderson on 4th line. We already need to accept Gallagher as 4th liner for next season, so let jus tmove one of them out if we get the opportunity.

Slaf, Caufield and Newhook are above Anderson on wing depth. Montreal still isn't sure they want Roy in the NHL lineup fulltime, and he's still coming close to passing Anderson. RHP has not come close this season to playing at a level which would mean he "deserves to be above Anderson on wing depth".

Again, I don't have an issue moving Anderson for nothing if the opportunity is there, but I don't get the opportunity cost argument. Montreal's forward depth sucks and the kind of growth that would be required to make the opportunity cost actually be relevant doesn't really happen outside of video games.

Don't know what the gravity of the injury is, but Philly place Nick Seeler on IR. It was reported that Philly was balancing between trying to figure out what it would cost them to extend him while fielding calls to see what a trade for him would bring them.

Seeler getting hurt right before TDL isn't ideal. But I don't know if there is a rule against trading someone who is on IR, but isn't expected to miss significant time.

Edit: According to Friedman, they're making progress on an extension.

Just an inkling but, do you think that the magic is gone in your relationship?

In my case, I know better than discuss hockey with my wife (from Japan). She'd look at me like I'm an extraterrestrial.

You might have considered a prenup with a section explicit about machetes.

Hanifin could sign for less in Tampa what he turned down in Calgary and still take home more. No state taxes in Florida
Purely looking through the $$ lens:

Hanifin’s max take home would be a heavy bonus structured contract from an Alberta team and establishing his US residence in Florida. Like one Huberdeau…

Now if Hanifin like Tkachuk & Gaudreau want out of Cdn fishbowl that’s another matter..

Poor Flyers. Always teetering on the never really rebuilding, never really contending line.
