Harris is the odd man out for me.
Me too although I suspect that the return for him would be average — which is fine since it would really be about making room for the others.

The other two bring a physical element (and other attributes) that were lacking through the lineup.

Struble in particular is showing so much assurance. He’s been consistent in Laval and there’s a good chance it continues at the NHL level (would like to see more NHL games before arriving at a more definitive conclusion).

to EDM: Montembaul + Jake Allen (50%) retained + David Savard
to MTL: The keys to Edmonton's car, their wallet, all the cash they have in the till, their firstborn son, and a helicopter waiting at Trudeau airport to take us to Russia!
Oilers at 6-pts out of a playoff spot w McDavid now kicking into gear…. Holland has no need to make a deal from his zero leverage position, he can & will simply wait till the new year kicks in and the deadline approaches

The new coach bump will get Edm back into playoff position in the weak Western Conf

He has more points than anyone on our team

He would be our most important RHD by far, he is what Barron and Mailloux turn into as a best case scenario

Reinbacher has struggled this year and still looks 2 years away, Hutson is probably 2 years away as well. Those are the 2 we are relying on to carry the load offensively from the backend, and they aren't very close.

Bouchard would be a much better option on PP1 than Matheson, and I think the Oilers are willing to move him because they need to commit to team defense.

If you can make that deal and then swing Matheson + for Mercer we are in business
You have to know there would be an immediate and evident drop in production going from that offensive powerhouse to our club. Chances are Bouchard wouldn't produce much more than what we already have in place. He gets a ton of room on Edmonton he wouldn't get here particularly on the PP.

Who to believe?

Pierre LeBrun claiming that the Oil have not discussed any of the Habs’ goalies with the Habs.

Very few people have correctly shown fore-knowledge of any move HuGo has made so I ignore all of them.

Looks like Ottawa could use a goaltender. Carolina too.
How about New Jersey they are currently pacing CBJ in the GA category that can't be good.

Kakko just went down in the Rangers game. If he's out long term, would they be looking at Monahan? We have that NYR connection in the front office and MSL so I'm curious if the Rangers could be the trade partner. They're win now for sure

One's an old, slow, but very useful centre and the other is a struggling winger on the cusp of being a bust. So, maybe.

Stephane Waite is about as reliable as Dans Les Coulisses or Eklund. No offense, as you’re just repeating what you heard him say, but Waite reminds me of the old guy at the bar who can’t stop reliving his glory days… and will do (or say) anything he can to rekindle any of that former notoriety.
hes not wrong about Allen's value tho Jake aint worth much

Monty and Primeau have more value and even them wont be much

I didn't want to trade moneyhands but I didn't think we would be this bad either. May as well trade him and attempt for Celebrini.

Monahan slowing down after 15 games concerns me about extending him. His conditioning will surely come back but if he just gets these small injuries every year he's going to be pretty ineffective in a few years.

Couldn't find the NCAA free agent thread, but hopefully the Habs can sign Collin Graf if he chooses to leave school after this season.

Money needs to be on a load management plan and he absolutely needs to be traded if at all possible.

He's playing too much for sure. He's playing 18 minutes a game and imo he should not be playing more than 16.

I don't think Hughes is even shopping any of them.
I'm almost 100% sure he is trying to trade Allen. People overrate Allen A LOT. He's an average number 2 paid almost 4 millions a year. No winning teams got the cap space for that and losing team don't care. Allen's contract is probably the firtst mistake by KH.
