Matthew Phillips waived, I wouldn't mind claiming him and sending down Roy instead of him playing 10 minutes a game here.

He's a RFA at the end of the year so he could be a big boost next year for Laval if someone like Maillet isn't re-signed.

What makes it done? Is our 2024 first (if not top 5) + a young D (Harris, Barron, Xhekaj) ex Guhle?

I don’t think Rags are selling low on Kakko so whatever the price, it would look like an overpayment for its current level and production.

I feel like there is a world in which we could get both Kakko and Zegras.

It all depends on what the other team wants. It would change the dynamic of our team in a big way because we would get 2 missing pieces,

I feel like 7th or 8th overall should be available as well as most of our D and all of our bottom 8.

I think we would need to add a 2025 2nd rounder (either ours or the Pens) to make it work. If I was them, and Kakko wasn't in my plans, I would seriously consider it. Harris kinda sucks, though.

I think Kakko is in their plans. Not likely they ll find a better third liner at that cap hit with upside…
