Yup...No he’s a Center with a $8M cap hit till 2025, I think he was supposed to be 2C for them but he ain’t cutting it.
Colorado put one of their goalie on waivers today, maybe there’s something in the works like swapping Johansen and Allen with Habs getting some compensation for the extra cap hit. Probably won’t happen but one can dream…

@sampollock found it here:Can you link that?
That joke went over the heads of 90% of the posters here.well we lost Martinez to FC Montreal.
It would be cool if Ceci played with someone named Cela.Has to happen so someone will use the classic Franco line « Ceci explique cela. »
This explains that.
What was he wearing?Barron looked amazing in the AHL last night.
What defenseman would you move though? It would be cool if we could NYI's 1st round pick. They've traded it every year and they need D. Around 14-15, we should be able to get one of Greentree, Hemming or Sennecke.

MAJOR: The rumor has just been confirmed for Trevor Zegras, the Montreal Canadiens officially have a golden opportunity
Trevor Zegras' name has been circulating in rumors for a few weeks, and it's becoming increasingly evident that the Anaheim Ducks are open to trading himwww.habsfanatics.com
I know. Tell it to @sampollock — he loves his clickbait sites. I merely provided the link cause someone asked.Pure clickbait
Also remember, according to journalist Shayna Goldman, from The Athletic, the Montreal Canadiens are at the top of a list of six teams to which, she believes, Trevor Zegras could very well be traded
Yeah that's what I was suggesting, not quite sure what the Avs would add to him though. They don't have any 2nds until 2026 and I doubt the difference between them is that significant anyways. No he’s a Center with a $8M cap hit till 2025, I think he was supposed to be 2C for them but he ain’t cutting it.

That's not going to happen and I don't think anyone had done a 1st for next year's 1st i a whileI would consider trading Winnipeg's first for a first in 2025. See how much traction that gets, maybe a club offers theirs without any lottery protection
What defenseman would you move though?
Barron, and Harris. Neither would get us a 1st, but maybe do a conditional move up, where we switch Winnipeg's pick for NYI's.
So Barron & Winnipeg's 1st to NYI for their 1st & a 2nd or 3rd, kind of deal. Depending on NYI's pick being lower. It's doubtful NYI would want Barron.
Savard would get us a 1st by himself.
Barron might get you a 2nd rd pick, but I don’t see it.Barron, and Harris. Neither would get us a 1st, but maybe do a conditional move up, where we switch Winnipeg's pick for NYI's.

Why not Slakvosky - Lindstrom - Tuch ?Someday, I want to see a line with three big guys that can cycle the puck. Just imagine:
Slafkovsky-Dach-Kakko
We have a decent odds of drafting Lindstrom, and a Slafkovsly-Dach-Lindstrom line would be something to behold.Someday, I want to see a line with three big guys that can cycle the puck. Just imagine:

K well I subscribe to the athletic and I haven’t seen an article by Shayna that says this. Anyone have a link to that article?@sampollock found it here:

Although I'd love to see using one of the D in a package and yeah that not usually the type of trade made at the deadline so it would have to be during the summer. I'm not sure it's worth saying no a good offer at the deadline just because we hope we might be able to do something "better" in the summer. Not sure what we have left to trade. We don’t need anymore mid round picks. Keep Kovacevic for next year. Guhle/Matheson/Savard will be our top 3. Need bodies after them. Don’t see a market for Armia/Anderson/Pearson. Jake Allen with retention seems like the only possible move that should happen before the deadline.it will still be hard to pull off though imo.
Barron & Harris I’d wait until the off-season and use them in part of a package for something nice.
I doubt either of those two would do it. According to where Isles pick. Wifi would do it thoughBarron, and Harris. Neither would get us a 1st, but maybe do a conditional move up, where we switch Winnipeg's pick for NYI's.
