It looks like that after he has worked on it?????????////

Well Leonard doesn't look that good. reinbacher should be the better choice.

Edit: Leonard did nothing at the beginning of the season. He has picked it up though.
I'm not really a fan of stats watching on amateur leagues. It does give an hint of the progression true, but it's often a fraction of the full story. I'm more interested in the amount of game he's going to be playing. If he gets injured, etc...

He's a solid prospect no doubt, but it's just an unwritten rule in the NHL. You don't trade someone that's within the first year of his draft class. Doing so just makes the conspiracy theorists go nuts... ;)

So many teams need help. Rangers. Los Angeles, NJ etc. Thier GM's are clowns. They should be paying whatever it takes to get Monahan, Lindholm etc.

Pens looking like window is fully closed.
Time to pry out Sid.
Something based around Riley, Harris and a 2nd should get their attention.
The only way i see something like this happening is if Crosby ask to be traded to Montreal specifically and Pittsburgh want to accomodate him.
A little bit like the Patrick Kane trade last year.

Montreal is one of the few teams that can take on his contract.
Even more so if he and his buddy Letang want to be traded together to the same team.

Dubois was coming off his best season in the NHL and his value was at its highest. To add to that, he didn't have a contract and was expected to sign a 7-8 year deal which was risky for a guy who hasn't stepped on the ice for his new team.

Laine's value is pretty much as it's lowest and he only has 2 years left on his deal after this. If the trade doesn't work out at least we don't have his cap hit on the books for a shit load of years like PLD.
Dubois I was watching a few Kings games. Just no compete in him. Lack of hustle going off for line change. If he was playing like that now in Montreal be a media shit storm which would blow the Gallagher controversy into the St.Lawtence.

Nah. French kid gets paid $8M a year by Habs and he goes out and skates figure 8s during hockey game. It'd be fine.

Why players if they have a choice avoid Cdn markets…. PLD will go hang out at Manhattan beach & all is forgotten

AVS fans on the main board - Monahan sucks

AVS sign 39 year old Zach Parise - great signing.

Can't make this shit up.
I mostly go there for the reliable Trade board. So easy to click and instantly see any new signings or trades by the thread titles and it's usually posted within mere minutes of anything happening.

Opinion wise, the Trade board and NHL talk board are utter garbage. If you're ever worried your opinion on a hockey player or whatever might be wrong, just check those boards and if the obnoxious majority disagree with you, know you've got a 90%+ chance of being right.

Crosby is UFA in '25. Habs have 20 million coming off the books that summer and should be a contender. Hhhmmmmm.
I would love to see Sid on The Habs for a few years before he retires but on what Bizzaro world are The Habs contenders in 2025?

They are a few years away from being a real bubble team and then a few years from maybe being a contender.

I don't get why people always talk about years before they are a contender instead of players.
They have holes in the roster to fill. We don't know how many years it will take to do it.
They could do 3-4 trades between now and next season and fill most of them. Not saying it will happen, but you never know.

You can tell Doughty is seeing it.
So did some of us here who cautioned against acquiring the then next available local hero.

One of many reasons why the urge to trade Matheson, who wants to play in Montreal, is so puzzling.

In the summer of 2025 the Habs won't be a contender. They likely won't even be a playoff team unless prospects take some huge strides, they get lucky at the draft and they sign some quality ufas, or make a trade for a quality player.

I think Habs be playoff team by '25-26 season. That be year 5 of the rebuild. This is year 3. They had some pieces in place to start. Suzuki, Caufield, Guhle, etc... Slaf looks like real deal, young defense be maturing by then. We should get a decent pick in this draft. We will have two picks in '25 draft.

We would need to at least make the playoffs to have a shot at Sid.
