Not worried too much about the center depth even if we trade Monahan and Evans, I can guarantee you Andersson finishes the season with the Habs
Obviously - no GM would trade for that waste of cap space unless we eat a ton of cap.

Mrazek has good stats this year considering he's behind an AHL line-up with all the injuries on the Hawks, better than the last two seasons even.

Also, Chicago has nobody else to put in net...
Yeah, I don't see how that's a bad move at all lol

Andersson and Evans are interchangeable.

They should trade Monahan ASAP before he goes down again with an injury. The clock is ticking, it’s not if but when will it happen.

Ofcourse he does, even if the habs we're shopping him at this time (which they aren't) Anderson is not a trade deadline type of deal. His cap hit is too restricting this time of year.

I believe the habs like having Andy on the team and don't see his contract as a problem, but if they were to move him it would have to be in the offseason.

The only way Anderson gets moved now is if we take a terrible (preferably expiring) contract back and are paid handsomely for it, otherwise they're quite happy to keep him.

Anderson has a role to play on this smaller slower team, which holds more value to them than a lower draft pick.

2017? KH only picks up 2019 drafted players, but yes he should we need center depth

Lias « Silver-Medal-Tosser » Andersson and Josh Anderson are two different players! 😉

I could see the former joining the latter in Montreal after TDL in a bottom-6 role - but a more optimal scenario for the Habs seems to weaponize their cap space and seek* an expiring UFA center to fill a jersey and let the Laval Rocket players gain playoffs experience.

*Either a cap dump for incentives or maybe more likely in a Monahan trade to extract more value from him?

(Alternatively, what about Monahan + COL 2024 2nd for WPG 2024 1st + MTL 2024 2nd + M. Barron?)

If Monahan was 24.

I'm very skeptical the Habs will get a 1st for him let alone a good prospect
supply and demand even if he is plan B or C how many player better than Monahan are available, how many team looking for help center/fw depth or faceoff or special team, how many of them have cap space to fit a player with higher cap hit. Is play was great last year before getting hurt he has been just as good this year, he will fetch a 1st or a legit prospect worst player have gotten better return in past TDL…

I would do it but doubt Jets would.

Sens looking for 200ft players.

Looking at all areas to improve.

Trying to do something before, or at the deadline, but is willing to wait until the offseason

No conversations with Tarasenko for an extension.

Staios hasn't talked to Formenton since he took over and all talk about him will have to go through the league.

Going to take a look at the coaches in the offseason

Asked about Roy and didn't really address it and talked about Martin and the job he did and the type of coach he wants in the future.

Asked why the sens didn't signed Formenton, but Staios wasn't there, so he's not entirely sure why.

Got Asked again about Roy and said timing again

Disappointed that Chychrun's name is out there. Was asked about the 3 LD and said Chychrun can play the right side, so there's some balance there.

They must have a real low assessment of the guy. Otherwise, I don’t get it.

That, and/or Hughes has a few deals in place that are close & involve some contracts/roster players coming back...

Still a bit of a surprise they didn't consider it even as a 2-3 week stop gap
