the term on that deal will make it hard for them to find a swap that makes sense on their end... i wouldn't even do Armia / Garland 1:1

We know Monahan works well as RW1 with Caufield-Suzuki, but at this stage - with both Newhook and Slafkovsky seemingly overwhelmed - might be more opportune organisation-wise to use Monahan as C2 instead:

Caulfield - Suzuki - Newhook/Armia
Pearson/Newhook - Monahan - Slafkovsky
RHP/Pearson - Dvorak - Anderson
Ylonen/Pezzetta - Evans - Gallagher

I thought there was a chance to snag him from Vancouver, but I can't see how Vancouver let's him walk. He is one of the best players in the planet.
